How often on average do the batteries need to be changed?

On the 18 minute cycle, they'll last about two months. The shorter the cycle the more often you'll have to change the batteries.

Does it have the manual button to press for an extra burst of spray?

Yes, it does on the back of the spray, as well as a place to hang it from the wall.

does it work with airwick spray?

Great question. For best results, we recommend using Glade® Automatic Spray Refills with this unit.

Does the spray fall back on the furniture the device sets on,will it damage furniture?

Not really. I hang mine on the wall above the door and one on top of the fridge. I have had no problems. Daniel
