The Flash Omnibus Vol. 1 Hardcover – September 30, 2014

I just started reading the first one but I am very impressed. I am one to find a bargain and unless you are willing to settle for the black and white reprints, this is the best deal. I compared an issue in the book to an original issue and the color is much more brilliant. The only thing that people might not like with these books is that they are big and a little awkward to read. Also some people prefer reading comic books like the original paper instead of these glossy pages. Just so no one is confused the Geoff Johns omnibus which coincidentally start at issue 164 where these books end are not the silver age Flash with Barry Allen. They are the Flash that came out in 2000 with Wally West.

The earliest Flash stories from the Silver Age at a price that's less than picking up the separate paperback reprints from a few years ago.The flat coloring of the time is off-putting, but the stories themselves live up to the memories I have of reading them the first time.

I purchased this book as a gift for my husband. He loves it! His only complaint, if you can call it that, is that it is so large and heavy that it is hard for him to hold it up when lying in bed to read. He keeps telling me "this is a REALLY big book" when he reads it.

Well produced book of the Silver Age of The FLASH containing the best collection of the Scarlet Speedster. A large hard cover with all the stories in full color . I highly recommend this book for any comic fan.

I prefer to read this adventures than to read the grim adventures of nowadays. This is the best Flash ever.

Some of my favorite comics of all time under one beautiful cover. Amazing book with excellent early Flash tales. If you are interested in the Silver Age this is a perfect place to start!!

Absolutely amazing, and a must have. 860 pages of Comic books, and it's a lot bigger than it looks in the picture. I'm also a huge fan of the Flash.

I have just started reading this, and I love it already. The Flash has to be my favourite superhero ever. I live DC comics and I'm a big fan of Batman and the Justice league. But Barry Allens Flash is my favourite. With a lot of superheros having they're origin stories retold time and time again, the Flash hasn't seemed to have had that per se. Though there is a reason for that, during Crisis on Infinite Earths which rebooted the DC continuity (SPOILER ALERT: even though the story is over 30 years old) Barry Allen dies. So Barry's story never got a re-imagining like the rest of the DC universe. So if you're a big fan of the Scarlett speedster this is worth it. I read more of the Bronze and Silver age comics, as they have more political standpoints and darker stories. But this omnibus is from the silver age of comics, which were more science based, and pretty cheesy at times, so you have been warned. I don't mind cheesy as long it isn't as campy as Adam West's Batman. I don't think you can beat the modern artwork but I love the 50s comic art. It's what I imagined comics were all like when I was a kid. And finally the book itself is pretty solid, and the cover is very slick, it's looks really good on the shelf.

Excellent product bringing back memories, though i actually have a lot of the issues in their original form! Good to have clear printed version I can read and leave the originals in the bag. This series is wonderful. Process of delivery excellent and well ahead of stated delivery times
