She's allowed to take 3 people with her, and forced to go with a few others that at best, she doesn't trust.Along the way there is development with Camille, in regards to her role as a priestess, and Morio's role also changes and grows as well, though we are left in the dark in regards to him.I enjoyed the story. Yasmine Galenorn is a wonderful spinner of these worlds. But I was left feeling a bit deflated with how easily the ancient dragon was defeated. It was over so fast, and the role The Merlin played in it was a bit too simple.However, I love that the author isn't afraid to pull punches with her characters, as we lose someone close, someone not so close, and another runs off to be assumed lost. How and will he pop up later? Where? This mystery leaves your mind thinking long after the last page is read. One of Camille's husbands, Trillian, leaves to find his brother, missing in Otherworld after the chaos of the sentient storm.As the group travels through the land of the Elder Fae, we are made privy to some more of this strange places machinations. Camille is swept up in the duties of her role, off on the hunt. Only this time, the hunt is real and she sweeps into a battle to scoop up the souls of soldiers. However she is destined to do a difficult thing when someone she loves is to be brought into the hunt by her.Meanwhile, she does not disappoint on her steamy love scenes, her character building, and her ability to pull you out of your own world, and into that of the supernatural.There are threads that are pulled in this novel, only to be left dangling. There were characters that were mostly dressing for this book, and others brought forth into the light. It's such a wild world of people, and creatures, if you don't pay attention you might find yourself overwhelmed.

The intro to this book was ridiculous and so disjointed from the rest of the story I didn’t even get the point of it. It was really out of character for the demon twins to take a spell from a stranger and incant it. They are fighting a war on several fronts with more enemies than they can count, but were easily tricked like children. It was just an excuse to introduce that warped Santa, but since his character wasn’t important I still don’t get it. It was like the author wrote a novella that ended up not getting published so she attached that story to this book.Since this book was all about finding the Merlin I wish we spent more time with him. It took way to long to get to him, and then we barely got to see what kind of man he is. I’m glad the Arthurian legend bit played out, because having Mordred, Morrigan, and Arturo wonder around in past books was lame. And I rolled my eyes when Camille was shocked to find out that Arturo was Arthur. Really? They barely changed his name.Its time to wrap up the spirit seals thing, and decided if the world will remain separated or become one again. The author has wandered off from them long enough to prove that the series doesn’t need to end when that is all resolved. There are so many creatures and issues in that world that the series could go on well and for a long time.

I did enjoy this book a lot. I am a huge fan of all the books in this series. I am very attached to each of the sisters and all of those that they call family. The stories are always well written. I would normally have given a book in this series a 5 star rating. I can not tell you why I felt this only a 4 star read. While I enjoyed reading the book once, I do not think that I would re read it. And for me, to receive 5 stars, it would have to make me want to read it again and again. Is that being too tough?

great read

I've been reading this series since the very first book came out and it just gets better and better. While I've read plenty of other series where major changes happen, those same series always end up losing what I loved about them in the first place. That has never been the case with this series. Big changes come, new challenges arise, but the characters always stay true. I feel like I know Camille, like she's my friend and it's not very often you find an author that brings to life characters so Nobel, honest, and real. Especially in fantasy.

As is the norm for Yasmine Galenorn this is right up there with the best. She continues each book from where the one before left off. Even though it's a shame to kill off characters from the story it is what has to happen. The story is always flowing which keeps you wanting to keep reading. If you have enjoyed reading her previous books you will not be disappointed.

An introspective whirlwind of twists and turns with enough revelations to keep the plot original and foreshadowing of what's to come.

Camille is my favorite sister! She has grown so much in character from the first book. Wyrms, dragons, elves, fae, mischievous pixies...this book has them all. The Triple Treat are back as well. King Author also makes an appearance. This book and series keeps me entertained! Couldn't put the book down!

I really enjoyed the story , my heart was in my mouth a few times and I laughed out loud too, I love the way her friends and family are always on hand to help , hard to put down

This series has gone from strength to strength. The characters have grown so much. The world is rich and well written, as well as being involved.

Brilliantly written with a good plot , bring on the next book.
