I started looking for "that cedar smell" knowing I loved it. Yes
I have ordered 6 different types of cedar oil, from 6 different companies, to try to combat the smell of the woman downstairs with 8 cats. I have read that cedar repels fleas, bugs, crawly critters and yes! Cat stink (so does lemon- yum - eucalyptus which gives me migraines, peppermint which I'd rather smell bleach than smell and other "bug repel" concoctions which I have tried, too. I now find I'd rather smell a skunk than Lavender, but I digress...) Remembering the incredible smell of live cedar trees out in Washington state, I started looking for "that cedar smell" knowing I loved it. Yes, sort of like pencils, and didn't we all smell pencil shavings in grammar school? Come on, admit it. Anyway, out of all the other products and companies I tried cedar oil from, this one was hands down, the winner. I had gotten kind of jaded, buying and smelling all this cedar oil which seemed too sharp, too "something else but a hint of cedar" even at the hardware stores, home stores, hippie stores, health stores. I wondered if I should just grind up a mess o' pencils. BUT this oil not only has that lovely cedar smell but you can smell the bark, the forest, the hint of wood-dirt-density of a whole TREE. And fog - seriously I'm not making this up. It's much more full and rich than anything I've found and I very much recommend it if you want to be reminded of being in a forest. And, mercifully, it helps with the other smells in life and I haven't seen one Crawly Thing in my bathroom or back stairs since using this. I have even used it as a body scent/ perfume (mix with witch hazel or coconut oil) and not only do I get complimented but the damn cats downstairs stay away from me, which is an added plus. I will be buying this exclusively from now on!

Smells pretty good like I expected
Smells pretty good like I expected. But before placing in my diffuser, I went to check for any solids in the oil (was a habit from working in the e-liquid industry for e-cigarettes) and I saw a bunch of these pebble sized crystals. This would normally happen with peppermints in the e-liquid industry, which our liquids are suspended in Propylene Glycol (PG) and was easily fixed by slowly heating the liquid to liquefy the crystals. Doing that to this bottle of EO had a zero change in state. So honestly, I'm not sure if I can run this in my diffuser, don't want to cause any damage to the unit.Aside from smelling nice... I won't use it till I get a response from the vendor...

Excellent for Insect Repellent and Anxiety
This is the third bottle of Cedarwood that I've purchased from this company. In my opinion, it smells and therapeutically works exactly as it should. I own a small business and I develop essential oil-based wellness remedies for common canine illnesses and conditions. I use this oil in my Tick and Insect Repellent Spray and my Zen Fur Paws Calming Spray for dogs with anxiety. It has worked fabulously so far. Our customers state that our products are extremely effective.

Wonderful cedar fragrance, and USA made
This oil is very fragrant and smells just like cedar. It comes in a big brown bottle with a glass dropper, and I think it's a good value for the price.I applied some inside my cedar chest and a cedar jewel box and it smelled just like when they were new. I've also added a few drops to a cotton ball and put it in the pockets of stored winter coats, to repel moths. Cedar and mothballs both repel moths, but cedar smells so much nicer! I'm also going add some to my next batch of candles, to gently scent the room with that wonderful fragrance.I originally bought this for our dog, who was covered in fleas. I added about a teaspoon to a quart of warm water and sprayed him down with it. It did repel the fleas (but didn't kill them) and he smelled great for a day. But after the scent faded the fleas were back. Fleas don't like the smell of cedar, but I didn't want to coat him in the oil to keep them away.I've never used this brand of essential oils before, but I was impressed with the quality and will look for other scents they offer. All their oils are 100% pure and made in the USA.

Is it diluted?
This is not as sweet as I would like for aromatherapy. I was hoping it was similar to Atlas Cedarwood, which I usually buy from NOW Foods and smells like a cedar chest. I still find it useful because it's more smokey/earthy scent balances out other sweet scents that are too strong such as Jasmine or Honeysuckle, so it will still be useful. I'm not sure if this oil has been diluted? Seems a little too "oily" on the skin. Be careful if you are using on animals any essential oils please do your research! They have small livers and especially cats do not have certain enzymes that allows them to process certain chemistry through the liver and can die due to toxic build up. And they will lick it off and some things are extremely poisonous to them such as Tea Tree oil.

really helps with sleep
Bought this to try essential oils in my sons bedroom. He always has dry skin and I thought it could help with bringing some humidity in and well making it smell nice couldn't hurt. I do need about 9-10 drops to get a satisfying scent going but we love it. I have one in peppermint and this cedar wood. I never told my son what the oils were good for but every night I would ask him "do you want the minty or the woodsy?" and he will always choose the "woodsy" so one day I asked him "why do you like the woodsy more?" and he answered "because it helps me sleep mama." he's 4. I would have never have thought it really helped anything past making it smell nice, not usually into the hippie stuff but hey, even a 4 year old says it helps him sleep. can't keep being skeptical after that.

Good For House Cleaning
I bought this because Cedarwood oil is supposed to be safe for cats. It made my cats sick, so I'm going to mop with an unscented or lavender Castille soap solution instead. When I first opened the bottle I was skeptical because the smell from the bottle is strong, but this is the case with many wood oils. When I mixed a very small amount with water and vinegar, the smell was amazing! I'm actually shocked at how good it smells. It is a nice wood smell and it has a very subtle sweetness.
