Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition (PS3)

The game is amazing if you have a powerful enough PC and one time internet connection(about 300 mb of data)for activation, downloads and signup. Initially the game requires few tweaks and after that it runs smoothlywithout any problem whatsoever. I played the game on very high settings and it worked like a charm.My PC config : Microsoft Windows 8.1 x64, Intel i7 4500u, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 4gb Nvidia 840m graphics card, 1TB HDD.In order to play this game smoothly, certain things are needed to be taken care of. I spent some considerable amount of timein finding the tweaks(legitimate) on the internet and I successfully played the game without the need of logging in, internet connection and gameplay DVD, which is by default needed each time to play the game. I thought it might be useful to few others who are facingtrouble in installing and playing the game. Just follow these steps (These steps will be useful for those who have systemwith at least 2GB of graphics memory and 3gb of RAM, otherwise it will not work):Steps :1. Install the game by inserting the DVD's without any internet connection.2. Once installed, connect to the internet and it will further go for date check validation. Here comes the first problem,the date check will stop at 30% and will not go further. It will then ask for manual activation. Click on the manualactivation and a new window will appear. In the opened window, you will find a "unlock request code", copy it and then openthe link of the support page given in the window. After opening the page, click on the link given in "Manual 'ProductActivation' Guide". After clicking it, go through the instruction and paste the "unlock request code" you copied earlierin the manual activation window. Also enter the CD-key(find it at the back of Liberty City Travel Guide that came withthe product). After clicking on "generate unlock code" button, a unlock code will get generated. Copy all the three codes(serial key, unlock code and unlock request code) in a separate text file. You will require these code later. Now go backto Manual activation window and enter the serial code and unlock code in the corresponding field and click on the "Activatemanually" button. The game will now get activated. Then close everything and change your system date to any date of 2014(example 1st August 2014). Now again launch the game, this time the date check will successfully get completed. After this,do not continue with Rockstar Social Club logging. Quit the game and then again change the system date to your currentday time .3. Go to google and search "GTA 4 patch". Go to the link of official rockstar game support page. There, download the latestpatch for the game(v1.0.7.0 at the time of this writing). Unzip it and install it by executing "UpdateTitle.exe" file.Now you no longer need the Rockstar Social Club logging and can play the game offline also.4. Create a textfile and rename it as "commandline.txt" and inside it insert these command on separate lines :-availablevidmem 8-nomemrestrict-norestrictionsCopy the commandline.txt file in your installed game directory(by default it is"C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV").5. Go to google and type "Advanced Games for Windows Live Troubleshooting for GTA IV on PC ' Rockstar Support". Clickthe first link of support.rockstargames.com and follow all the steps for installing Windows live.6. Go to Youtube.com and enter "Tutorial: Play GTA IV and EFLC Without the Disk (No Crack or Torrent)" in the search bar.Click on the first link in the search result. If you want to watch the video watch it, otherwise go to descriptions ofthe video and click on one of the link for the GTA IV Steam Launcher. Download the LaunchGTAIV.rar file. Unzip it copythe LaunchGTAIV.exe file and then copy it and replace the older LaunchGTAIV.exe file in the default installed directoryof the game with this file (It is not a crack or a virus, just a launcher used by steam which doesn't require DVD check).From now onward, you can play the game without inserting any DVD.7. Create a Microsoft account and then create a live account. After your live account has been created go to officialxbox site and then login there.8. Everything done, now just open the game. Use offline mode, otherwise go and create rockstar social id and then login.After the game starts it will ask for your live accounts credentials, enter it and then you are good to go.From now onward, you can play the game without internet connection, Gameplay Disc or any other login requirements. Enjoy!Perform similar procedure for Episodes from Liberty City game(download the patch, its steam executable, etc.)The game is addicting once you start playing, not much different from previous GTA titles.

The installation is not too difficult.I think those who told not working can't install the game properly.I have no graphics card but the graphics is awesome in GTA 4.The installation in GTA episodes from liberty city is difficult where you need to go to the rock star games website to know a 'unlockcode' and the serial no. is available at the back of the 'LINERTY CITY TRAVEL GUIDE'.I think this will be useful to all of you.Anyone can install this game and I am just a kid why can't all of you install?

The over all gaming experience is nice. It is not for those who are having just casual computers because it is a very graphic intensive game and offers you rich gaming experience. I thing you should keep in mind while purchasing this game is that it is vary much dependent on internet like when will first time install the game you will need to download almost total of 200MBs data from internet. 100MBs for GTA IV and another 100MBs for EFLC. Also the progress in game cannot be saved offline.

The installation process is very hectic and full of errors. You will have to see youtube tutorials to resolve those. If you download a pirated copy for free and play that is very easy. But if you want to pay for it and then install as per the rules then you will have to win a war to install it in your Pc. I had a new laptop with latest windows 10 install in it. But still i got lots of issues. It took me 3 days to install it. By daily giving it few hours to install. After it got installed it worked for few weeks and then again stopped loading. After then i have touched this game again, its one year past now. Wasted 500 rs in it.
