Q: My 1/2” copper pipe is not threaded and extends 4 1/8” from the wall. Will this tub spout work?

The tip of the spout will be about 5.75 inches from the surface it is attached to.

The spout must say slip for design,it would then require an alien wrench to tighten the compression sleeve

Q: will it work with an 1 1/4" long pipe?

The product description states the pipe should extend 1 1/2 inches from the finish wall and not more than 2 7/8 inches. I would add a section of pipe, hopefully it is copper. If you have local plumbing store check with them.
