Waverly Ebony Guitar Bridge Pins with Pearl Dot Inlay, Slotted, Set of 6

High quality & pleasing
Made very well, very smooth & precise in their quality of the pearl inlays. All 6 matching very well to each other. Pearl inlays all show very nicely, none being seen more or seen less than the others [unlike those on the fretboard, where some show better than others... with one being so dark the light has to hit it for a camera to show it in a photograph]. The white pearl inlays of the pegs do not look out of place with the black ebony bridge and tortoise pickguard. I had been a little trepidated that they might, but, because the plain black pegs were pleasing shiny on the black bridge, but did not 'stand out' as an eyesore,..... but... these ebony pegs with the white pearl inlays go very nicely with the whole look of the D-18 I put them in. They go quite well with the white bone nut & saddle.... helping to bring a little more 'umph' to the looks from the bridge to peghead, and not just along the fretboard. The guitar now looks nicer from end to end, but not blitzy or pizzazzy. Very nice.Tone wise.... I can tell the difference of these ebony pegs from the black plastic pins that came on it. They work well with the matching ebony bridge and thus there is better quality in each note, each more clearly defined while rhythm picking, whether it be fast bluegrass [banjo style rhythm picking] or a ballad like Dust in the Wind. Slightly more sustain to the notes also.Very pleased.

Not worth the price
I purchased these for my Taylor acoustic guitar. First thing I noticed, one of the pearl dot inlays out of the 6 was very dull, and looks out of place. I expect some variation with abalone, but with pearl dots I don't think there should be this much variation. One star down. Second, when trying them in, all of them seated in the bridge at varying heights, it looked ridiculous. So I had to get sand paper and sand down the diameter of the other 5 pegs to match the one that seated the lowest. One more star down. This involved sanding each one, trying it in, removing it, sanding it more, etc...until it matched the lowest one. Times five. 40 minutes I really wasn't counting on. One more star down. Then the cost; these were triple the amount of some other very similar products, and I made the mistake of assuming the more expensive product is probably better; I had also purchased another brand from another seller for a different guitar, and those fit better than these did. One more star down.

Exactly what I was looking for. Cheaper directly from seller.
Bought these pins to replace the plastic ones on my new D-28. They match perfectly. Didn't realize until after I brought them that they came from stewmac. Much cheaper directly from them...unless you need to buy multiple items...stew mac charges shipping for the order, not per item. Shipping costs are built in to the much higher price on Amazon. Buyer beware!

Great looks
Great product for any acoustic guitar much better sounding than plastic pins not quite as bright and rainy as home but that's what I was looking for since I already have a bone bridge and saddle I didn't want it to be too bright so this should keep the brightness down with more of a warm tone

Not uniform in pearl
I know pearl is a shell and the way it looks can't be controlled,, but when 5 are nice white pearl and the 6th looks like dark abalone it kinda really sticks out.
