Awesome sound!
I have had them for over a month now and I love them. I used them at work, sometimes at the gym and the battery life is incredible. Bass is great and they are for the most part comfortable. They don’t feel cheap and have a lot of soft plastic. Connect them to my Surface Pro at work and I’m able to walk downstairs to the restroom with no sound interruptions. Phone call quality is actually good as well. I have a set of Power Beats3 and the JVC XX actually work better with phone calls and sound. Happy overall and do recommend.

Big Heads Beware
The headband is really small and clamps hard on the ears. I have a lot of headphone endurance but these leave me all sore after 3-4 hrs.Compared to my old 50 mm XX Xtreme Xplosives (which are bigger than these) these are a joke in sound and comfort. Which is sad considering they discontinued that model as old. The new HAMR60X model is a shadow of the original 50mm.The battery is insane, that one is true. I haven't charged mine in months mainly because I don't use them as often due to the uncomfortable fit; despite the minimal padding on the headband as opposed to the plentiful padding of my old XXs the issue is on the ear clamping and the small driver size. Maybe if the driver was over the ear instead of on, the clamping wouldn't that bad. However, even then, the battery is ridiculous long lasting.I found that using an Allen key to loosen the screws on the headband helps, but you don't want to loosen them too much or they fall apart. You have to fine tune the tightness, sadly that still it doesn't fix the small size of the headband. The driver size is an afterthought.I'd say this product is more- nifty looks and battery life; over audiophile dream headset. Big fan of JVC/Kenwood but their new direction is very disappointing.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
I own the predecessor Jvc HA-S190 which I truly love. So decided to purchase the newer version. The sound quality on the new version is way less in quality & volume... & i mean way less!!! The only thing better is the chatge life, which the older ones have a 17hr life, which is more than enough for me. I was so disappointed that I returned them & found a seller selling the older ones on ebay brand new, & purchased 2 of them...

Awesome bass. Not that comfortable for people with big heads
I use these to listen to some heavy bass music. I gotta say these sound amazing. Its loud and bassy. Last headphones I had was Sony Extra bass XB550. It had some bass but it wasn't loud to my satisfaction. I also have a big head. So it does kind of squeeze my head a bit. Its kind of uncomfortable. But when it comes to sound. I'd choose these over sony and skull candy crushers. The crushers sound like you're listening to music through cups and youll mostly feel the inaccurate bass around your ears. These however youll feel em everywhere and more accurate.

Professional Grade Headphones JVC U.S.A.
All I can say is An Excellent set of Audio Headphone set without discoloration in sound and all musical instruments are stage prominent as if you were at the concert soundstage. Incredibly comfortable and with as many hours bicycling in my favorite road trails for miles my fit doesn't falter one bit. JVC is quality as I've been a professional stereo and Home theater user/owner of JVC .I can't expect Nothing Less. The Premium, Japan Victor Company USA !!

Painful Treble - Painful fit - Boomy bass that distorts on high volume
Ok so the goodExcellent build quality. Rock solid ABS body. Metal headband. Tight and exact length adjustment. Doesn't creak while cups are stretched out while you walk. 40 hour battery life is great. Connects quickly to phones. Charges fast. The bad.The comfort is awful. The clamping force is strong. Not enough padding on the ear pads to justify said force. Puts a lot of pressure on your ears. Starts to really hurt your ears after 30 minutes or so. The sound is awful. Artificial sounding treble that's razor sharp. Creates unbearable Sibilance. The bass is muddy and distorts on high volume (at around 70% volume I've found) the lows bleed into the shallow mids. Really bad sound for the moneyI do not recommend these headphones at all. Bad comfort and sound.

Great little headphones!
I have to say these little JVC's are phenomenal. The battery life is incredible, they are fairly lightweight annd thee sound is superb. At first the on-ear aspect gave some misery but after stretching the hedband outward a bit and getting used to them they are quite good. They do need a break-in period I'd say of a good 40 hours, so just let them run when new even when not listening to them. That is the duration of the battery life anyways! Sweet goodness!I'm not just some excited young kid either, I'm an old fart quasi Audiophile and Musician with more than enough gear to equip the Russian Army. Not going to name all the gear I possess but let's just say I know good sound when I hear it.For headphones I own or have had to compare these with are: Sony MDR-7506, AKG K240 Mkii (Austrian), Sennheiser PX100-ii, B&W P7 Wireless and some other run of the mill fare.Let me say these headphones are fun! The sound is full and punchy and hits hard, the bass is smooth and kicks you in the nads! And the bass boost button is a treat! Divine in fact. It is not like some cheap loudness button or bass boost on an old ghetto-blaster it is the real deal and gives an awesome thump to the songs with sounding bloated or mushy. It really is that good. The highs never seem over-bearing or sibilant, just sit nicely and do what they are supposed to. They might be slightly subdued for some people wanting super analytical sound like the 7506. But these are for listening and pure enjoyment, not monitoring.Again the mids seem just right and might be slightly recessed a bit to give these little dynamo's a sweet sound but they have enough detail to hear each song as the producer and artist intended. It almost sounds like I am being paid by JVC to say this. Not a cent! Every word I have said is true and the gear I mentioned.I love my P7 Wireless but I love these too. They might seem like they are aimed at teens, and probably are, but what a lucky teen whomever gets them. Can't say much about durability as I baby my stuff but I did stretch the hell out of the headband very shortly after buying. To make them more comfy on my big melon. The 40 hours playback is killer! And you can get like 3 hrs listening time with a quick 15 min charge. They probably won't be that great on an airplane as they seem to be semi-open back for the bass port release kinda thing and they probably aren't very good for jogging or working out because of the way they sit but for everything else they are stellar and a blast! You can take that to the bank. I've seen them go cheap at Xmas and I'm sure Black Friday as well so keep your eyes peeled for deals.Yes long-winded, but I felt compelled to give these little suckers some review love after two years of owning them. So others might have the same fun and enjoyment out of them as I have.Oh, did I mention, they have sat for weeks, if not a month or maybe a bit more and show 100% batt life on my Galaxy Note 9. Throw in Apt X and what a bargain ;-) Cheers!
