King Leo Fine Crush Peppermint Candy 5 Lbs.

I buy this all the time & it’s the best! I’ve tried other brands & they never compare!

My husband's family has a recipe for peppermint/chocolate chip ice cream. It requires King Leo's crushed peppermint in the recipe. I burned up 1 food processor crushing the peppermint, got a stronger processor but could still smell the motor getting hot, not to mention how messy it was. Then came the above mentioned! So easy! Thanks. NEED MORE!!!!!

The fineness of the crush was just right for the white peppermint bark that I made. Easy to mix in. Infused the chocolate with flavor.

This is really good for the peppermint bark that I make but I have enough to last me for years now. And it is a very finely crushed candy. I was expecting the type of crushed candy that is in the smaller bags. I will have to find some new recipes to use it for in order to use it all up.

The picture shows crushed candy pieces which is what I needed for my peppermint bark, however, it is a bag of "dust" so fine that I was unable to use it. I tried to return and explain but the company did not respond or allow me to return.

Be aware, this is the FINE crushed candy, not the medium. It is hard to tell from the pictures here because they look like bigger pieces but ultimately, if you look at the bag you can tell it is more finely chopped up. More powdery than the smaller chunked pieces. I prefer the medium over the fine for peppermint bark (personally). I didn’t know the difference until I looked up several products to find there was a medium and a fine crushed. I usually just buy the peppermint puffs and smash them with a hammer in a plastic bag but I saw this and wanted to save myself some time. Looking at the pics here and not knowing there are two different grades of crushed I would’ve bought the fine and not have been happy to receive a product that is more powdery. I went to the king Leo site to discover there are two different levels of crush and they both come in 5lb bags. I gave 5 stars because it is what is advertised but I feel some of the photos are misleading.

Wish it was a little chunkier.
