Torres Black Truffle Chip Basket

I purchased this item because it intrigued me when I saw it on Oprah's favorite things. I'd never really had truffles and wanted to try them in this fun way... who doesn't love potato chips. Well, now my husband and I feel addicted to these chips. They are delicious! They have a great earthy flavor that just makes you want more. The only slightly down thing is that a coarse salt is used on the chip which is fine until you reach the bottom of the bag and the chips are just really salty. But it's not enough of a problem to drop the rating. Five stars because we love them so much. We'll be ordering more.

I have ordered these twice. First time 2 bags were blown open. They refunded me for one bag because I did not see the one at the bottom was open too. The second order came and the box was smashed. I gave it 3 stars because the product is tasty but not worth the $.

Very Expensive! The chips come in a nice basket but I didn't need another basket. Now, I must admit that I loved the chips.

First review ever. I am confused by these other reviews. First let me say, i am a salt a holic. I buy flavored salts. I use too much and i love it -- seriously. And i LOVE truffle flavor and truffle salts - i own 4 different bottles of truffle salt alone -- but off of that aside -- THESE CHIPS are TOO SALTY! Way to salty. An upside: The truffle flavor is nice -- some cheaper truffle salts can have a artificial almost "MSG" flavor -- this is a GOOD FLAVOR! BUT ITS JUST. TOO. SALTY. The company was kind enuf to refund my purchase -- but i was REALLY looking forward to some good truffle chips. STILL looking for that. For now -- ill keep just putting truffle oil on my regular chips.UPDATE:!!! SO, I saw these in the store and decided to buy them and mix in some unsalted chips to balance out the salt, BUT THEN WE TASTED THEM AND THEY WERE PERFECTION! I THINK, something happened in the shipping where the salt normally settled in the bottom was distributed thru the bag? but even when I got to the bottom the crumbs weren't salty. I don't know WHAT the deal was with my first purchase, … all 5 bags were SUPER salty -- but the ones I got from the store on New Years Ever, were different, even Perfect. I understand the other reviews now.

OK so these are seriously pricy for a bag of chips but they are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I have never really been a huge fan of black truffles but I am totally obsessed with these and hid them from my family so I could enjoy them all by myself. I'm almost at the end of the bag and finally just shared some with my husband who was also blown away by how good they were. Highly recommended. (I'm sharing this review that I left for the Torres chips and not this basket but the product is the same and is amazing!)

Friend of mine bought some of these DELICIOUS chips at a local grocery store in Philly... I almost ate the bag once I finished the chips!!😂😂😂
