Please Be Quiet! Hardcover – September 27, 1999

This is a very fun book to teach your child that there are times s/he needs to consider others and be quiet. My daughter loves Paz. This book is very easy to read, but so fun to read as well. My daughter got this book when she was 2, and she loved to do all those noise making things Paz did, as we read this book for the bed time.Big Penguin's gentle way of saying "Please Be Quiet" helped my daughter get the message, and still enjoy the book.Nice quick bed time story to read.

An excellent book for my 9 month old. When we utter the words "please be quiet' he is openly overjoyed. We use this book as a sleep trigger and put him to bed straight after reading it. Works a treat.

シンプルな内容ですが、はっきりした色合いや大きな文字、絵。静かにして頂戴、という言い方も、しかるのではなく、静かにしてね、という優しい言い方なんじゃないかなぁと思う、そんな感じの本です。一つ一つの音に”boing"など、音がかかれていて、はぁ、そういう風にかくのか、と思ったりします。お話が書いてあるのではなく、絵本を見て、親子で会話をする感じになるのではないかと思います。

Mary Murphyさんのペンギン親子シリーズは、どれも楽しく、最後には必ず笑顔になれる本ばかりです。特にこの「PLEASE　BE　QUIET!」は、小さな子どもが必ずする遊びを通して、母親ペンギンが子どもペンギンに注意をしますが、最後にその子どもペンギンが赤ちゃんペンギンに「シー静かに！」と注意して終わるという落ちがあり、私ども親子も大変楽しく読んでいます。小さなお子さんがいる方に絶対お勧めです。
