An authentic looking little girl dress (blouse and skirt) which is used everywhere in Mexico for celebrations and festivities, especially for 5 de mayo. The typical dress from Jalisco has a striking design and is actually a skirt and matching blouse. It consists of a very wide skirt with ribbon stripes in the middle that form a star, and more ribbon stripes at the bottom end. The blouse has a high collar, and matching stripes in the sleeves. Made by women in the communities near Mexico city. We are working with co-ops of women that work together to make pieces of art using their available time at home to embroider and woven. We support the indigenous families of Mexico empowering them to earn a stable income and providing a window to the world for their products with a fair trade price. Authentic Jalisco Dress
Very pretty Jalisco dress. Well made, vibrant colors. Everybody was in love with my daughter's dress. They could not believe it was purchased trough Amazon, they thought I ordered from Mexico.Since the skirts is adjustable and the blouse it's elastic around the waist, my daughter will be able to use it for a few years. I am very pleased.
