This is not a flimsy product
Heavy duty hose, much more industrial then what I could find at the local pool supply and big box stores.This hose can get heavy when filled with water, due to the thickmaterial used to make the hose.This hose is durable and ideal for emptying water coming from my swimming pool. 1.5 hp pump I don't expect to have to purchase another hose for a very long time.

Great Hose well worth the money!
this hgose is great and well worth the added compared to the cheap vinyl ones from local home good warehouses, after one use I know this is the last hose for this, draining my pool-annually; I'll ever have to buy!

Well made- Heavy for backwashing a pool
This is a HEAVY hose for backwashing a pool. Meaning it is well made but also HEAVY to lug around. The cheaper vinyl ones are light and easier to roll and maneuver. This 100' hose is a beast. If I didn't need it that long it would be perfect.

The hose met my parameters
Have not installed the hose yet, but it looks and feels heavy duty and is made in USA. If there are any issues I will update the post.

Poor size description
I am leaving one star because the size of the hose is not accurate. It's supposed to be 2 inches and as you can see by the picture it's actually about 3 1/2 inches. After speaking with a person at Amazon who said they probably pulled the wrong size, he suggested I re-order it. Bad idea. I received the same exact hose. I wish it was the right size because the quality is great - nice and sturdy but I cannot imagine how they are calling this a 2 inch hose. Very annoying.

How to connect to PVC
PVC is very flexible when warm. This hose will stretch over the OD of a 1 1/2" coupling or fitting with a little finesse. Submerse the end of the hose in warm water, it does not have to be boiling. After the hose is warm, I used 2 pieces of wood and inserted them into the opening, then leveraged them against each other to stretch the end of the hose.
