Are these compatible with a cbtl machine?

Should be. The CBTL machines & Caffitaly machines are the same.

Does this work with cbtl lieto model?

Yes but don’t use fine coffee or pack it tightly. Makes it to difficult for the water to go thru.

Can these be used in cbdl caldi machines and if so so there an external cover? how are they used?

I have an older CBTL machine, but this metal pod fits inside one of the CBTL pod, meaning the quantity of coffee is always too little. It's a shame, it's a well-made steel capsule otherwise.

What are the actual dimensions of the capsule?

Don’t know the actual dimensions but it does work with my CBTL machine, Does not do well with espresso shots does OK with coffee
