I got used to having Casein pudding at the end of the day when I was doing an RP diet in the past. I used to use Optimum Gold Standard and it was fine, but the chocolate had a weird taste that I eventually got used to and figured that was as good as it gets.Now years later I am back and became familiar with Legion from using their pre workout and their post workout forumulas. What I really like is that the marketing does match what their products are. They don't have as many random ingredients with questionable data behind them and are more simple. Some people look at that as a negative but I would rather use quality products that are intentionally designed than the kitchen sink ones.So coming to Casein, it takes getting used to. You have to mix it up kind of like pancake batter. Get the lumps out, and mix as well as you can. The taste of these (I bought this Cinnamon one and the Chocolate) is basic. It is good tasting with no weird aftertaste but at the same time is not super sweet like the Optimum which for some people would be a negative. I bought the Cinnamon all the way thinking I would end up returning it after trying but I am keeping it. I was hoping it would be a cereal like experience but it is not. I would call it more of a non sweet cinnamon bun vibe. I really am enjoying it and Legion once again has me as a customer here as long as they stick to their design principles

If zero stars was an option, I would. The product was put in following direction. 8-10oz of water to 1 scoop. The powder immediately bulked up and ad to keep adding more water as the drink was so thick it didn't move. Even adding more water, the drink would thicken right back up. The flavor smelt amazing, the taste was awful, chalk like. Did not taste anything like it smelt. Not only was it so thick you couldn't drink it, but the flavor was so far off you couldn't drink it. I am sad because of the reviews I read but something wasn't right here. Beware of this as you cannot return/refund the product once opened and this was not cheap. Now we have a whole bag of protein we will not be using. sad.

In very small amounts, this stuff is delicious. That being said, and this may not apply to anyone else, but I, personally, can't handle Stevia as a sweetener. To me, it tastes just like aspartame -- a very chemical-like aftertaste. I'm sure this is just a matter of taste (or perhaps how I've trained my taste buds), but I wasn't a huge fan of this stuff in the amount necessary to make a shake. Just too much Stevia flavor for me. If that's your thing, though, this is (imo) a really good protein and absolutely worth trying out.

I feel like this protein powder you can put it in anything! Overnight oats, protein shakes, smoothies, and many yummy recipes! Not as chalky as other protein powders! Would recommend mixing it with a milk/milk alternative & blending it with ice and a banana ( so yummy!!).

I wanted to love this so much, but I just cannot bring myself to drink it. It is way too sweet and chalky. I’ve tried a couple of different ways and even tried adding to my coffee, which I usually enjoy with other proteins. I just cannot handle the taste, texture and consistency. My oldest son even tried a little and he couldn’t keep it down. Sucks because it has great reviews & good ingredients. Now I have a full bag of protein powder we cannot use and no way for a refund.

At first I was worried since the scoop was double the size of the birthday cake flavor. I mixed it with yogurt like I’m used to with other powders but this one ran thick. I added soy milk to make it a bit more smooth. It tasted like a cinnamon sugar cookie. I like it, I think I like the birthday cake consistency a bit more when it comes to mixing it with yogurt. They both are delicious flavors. The cinnamon roll is a bit too dense for me as a shake. It can only be in the blender a second or it’s all foam which upsets my stomach. Otherwise if I get it just right it’s still very heavy for me and collects at the bottom like sand. The birthday cake flavor which is not casein is lighter and still can get foamy if in the blender for too long but not nearly as gritty in a shake or nearly as heavy. I am a small gal with a weak stomach though, so keep that in mind! The flavors are amazing, the cinnamon roll and birthday cake flavors are delicious.

Does not mix well at all. I’ve used a Blender Bottle for all the protein powders I’ve ever consumed and this particular protein powder is the most frustrating one I’ve ever come across. Even after shaking this thing like crazy, the consistency is clumpy, foamy and still contains a lot of powder.Also, the cinnamon cereal flavor is awful. Waaaaaaaaay too sweet despite the “zero added sugar” claim. Instructions say to mix with 8-10oz of water but maybe i need to use like 20+ oz to make this palatable. It might also help this stuff to mix better too

Taste is very nice and not overly sweet when mixed with water or milk. I’d agree with some other reviews that the taste is more reminiscent of Horacha. The shake is not gritty (nor the powder itself). My one piece of advice, handle with care… the powder is very fine (like the outside coating of those powdered hostess gas station doughnuts) and you can make a mess in a hurry.
