Great product. General usage guidelines. More functions than advertised.
I purchased the 128G SD Card version for a dollar more (thinking perhaps the software is newer). I bought both a standard 64GB SD card and a 64GB TF version also to expand its storage capability, both work but are treated as a selectable second storage disk after formatting first in the Set(tings) menu. See below for SD Card functionality. The MP3 player was fully charged upon receiving it. I expected a low resolution screen but it is full color, pretty fair and text is crisp and easy to read. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of use. The bottom volume button sequentially shifts backward to earlier menus, very convenient. Holding the volume button down for a second activates the volume control slider.- The 8GB internal memory is very adequate (I recorded 20 albums using only 2 1/2 GB and still had nearly 6 GB available for more). The MP3 software automatically updates lists quickly when items are added or deleted from your computer.- Music selections are by artist, genres, and albums, and you can create your own playlists. You can play the entire range of songs or selected type choices sequentially or randomly.-*- The main 9 Menu selections are Music, Video, FM Radio, pictures, voice recorder, EBook reading, Folders viewing, Tools, and Settings.- Under Tools, you can view a calendar with clock, use multi-stopwatches simultaneously, and set an alarm at a selected date and time (rings loudly, but you need speakers/headphones to hear it).-*- General Information:- Music volume can be adjusted from hurt-your-ears down to below-a-whisper. Base is decent. Music can be played by All, or limited by Artist, Album, and Genre. Within selected choice, the list can be played by random (shuffle) or sequentially (repeat). There is a pause-resume button in the center which is nice, or if not in music mode, it acts as a select button.- The voice recorder works well even with the soft silicon case on. Note: the microphone is in a small hole on the back.- The FM Radio auto-scans available stations and provides a list to select your station choice. Headphones act as the receiving antenna. For just listening, the FM player works fine. There is a function to record FM, but the recordings are severely damaged with loud continuous clicking and therefore useless. Perhaps it was my environment at fault, but just listening to FM is clear.-*- Notes for an added SD Card:- Install the SD card in the side slot- Go into the Settings menu selection and select Format Device. Be sure to select "Format SD card" and NOT "Internal Memory".- After formatting, your SD card is available as an independent second disk drive. During MP3 player use, the various functions allow you to choose between internal memory (8GB) and External Memory (SD card) for source material, or for storage if recording. The MP3 player does not combine the two storage devices into one memory. I find this convenient for storing certain special music or other items on the SD folder.* To choose between internal memory and the SD drive:- For Music, Video, and Picture modes, select either Local folder or External folder.- For Voice recording mode, first select Storage, then select either Local folder or External folder.- For Ebook mode, select the top Menu button, then choose Local folder or Card folder.Pros:- All seems to work well except FM Recording.- unit is small and light.- Software seems solid. Music sounds great with several available preset graphic equalizer selections for music genres or set your own custom.- The unit can be easily locked (left and up press together) or unlocked with a left-up press twice.- Computer interface is simple, just plug it in the USB port and select Folders on the computer (the unit acts like a disk or USB drive). If you have installed and formatted a mini-SD Card in the MP3 player, a second drive selection becomes available where you can create folders, or the MP3 player will automatically create one for recordings. Open the Music folder and copy music in it. Other folders are for pictures, videos, voice recordings, and EBooks, or any other things you want to store.- It even comes with a mini-phono cable you can plug into a car radio auxiliary port or other device. For my car stereo, I plugged the MP3 player into the AUX port. I did have to adjust the volume louder on the MP3 player.Cons:- List selections require left-right presses to go up or down the list (not too hard to remember).- There is no carrying strap, clip or hook. It does come with a silicon case (soft) that could be used for some type of fastener/holder. However the holder partially covers the USB port but a tiny bit of trimming clears the port.- FM Recorder is useless.Overall, a wonderful product that far exceeded my expectations.

Saved me a TON of money
Have and older truck radio that has a AUX outlet. Got the FenQan MP3 player loaded it with 1342 of my tunes and it works like a charm so far. Battery seems to last for a long time, but can recharge the player with the Adpt. that connects to a 12volt usb Adpt. to MP3 unit, that was supplied with this unit. Haven't tried the ear buds yet. Has good sound and it shuffles the tune. I was told to accomplish this I would need a new radio to the tune of about $300.00 dollars. Con: Even though I have 1342 songs loaded in, it is close to being maxed out. Would be nice to have a little more GB. Still GREAT unit. It boggles the melon to see such a small unit that can do everything it does.

OK Media Player
This media player is fine if you only want to play audio files. This player is also a really nice size. But I bought to play video files for young kids in the car. The video format is very limited. And the video converter is an incredible challenge to find. My son loves it for music. It was cheap. Spend some extra money and get better quality media player.

Worst I have ever used
It does work and for some purposes may be fine. For my purpose, learning, practicing foreign language, it is the most irritating, inconvenient and frustrating devise--by far--among the several devices I have used over the years, some of which were quite adequate. It's too late to return it and I wouldn't sell it to anyone. I will give it away or throw it away and replace it with something better when I can.

Very Good Performing MP3
I liked the performance, but I find the controls and application logic a bit confusing. I am still not sure if all the features work as advertised.
