Curves (Wooden Books)

This is a great little book. My only complaint is that it has been published in tiny print, making it nearly impossible to read without glasses or a magnifying glass. I do hate being reminded that my sight is no longer 20/20!

Curves is not only beautifully organized but fascinating. The history, imagery, and information Ms. Delong included in this book helps the reader to see past just simple design and appreciate the detailed beauty of ironwork, tiles, or the domes of great cathedrals.

This series of books is an excellent design source for ideas and forms. I like the small format. The book itself is a small art work. It helped me see the relationships in paisley curving designs and that was my direction.

This lovely little volume is packed with a surprisingly dense amount of design information and analysis. An excellent source of inspiration for anyone who loves ornamental design.

great commentary, design, and illustrations.... love this book I learned a lot. Pre-ordered an it was so worth the wait.....

I had hoped to rate this high -- the best Wooden Books are excellent, but alas the series has turned uneven.my two alltime favorites in this series are Q.E.D. and The Golden Section.others I have enjoyed are ...Perspective...Symmetry...Islamic Design...Ruler and Compass...Mind Tricks...The Miracle of Trees.each of these runs c 55 pages, many of which feature artful, gray illustrations;but these are not books for young children.my advice is...try one whose title appeals; let that guide you.
