When we got these my 5 year old was eager to open them up and discover what he could do with them. My 10 year old assisted him and she quickly found interest as well. They tried making the objects from the booklet.My son was very proud when he made a robot and everyday he tries to make something new.It was a fun activity when his friends came over too. It comes with a case to store them but you have to neatly put them away and can’t just quickly toss them in. We wish there were more bigger pieces because you need those to build. The possibilities are endless with this set.I received this item for free for my honest review.

My 2.5 year old really enjoys playing with this and using his “wrench” to tighten the bolts. He will definitely be able to grow into this as right now the fine motor skills needed are a little out of his reach to construct all on his own. The booklet provided shows many different things to build which is great for the kids to pick out. Additionally the bin it keep all the parts in is a plus! Overall, this would make a great gift for your older toddler to first or second grade age child!

This toy is a new twist on building, but for a younger age group. I had three young child try out this toy, (all of them just had their birthday, so they are on the young side of their age) and the 4 year old was really into it. He was able to use the tools, and once I showed him how it all worked, was able to start building things. He did need a little help at the beginning, as the instructions tell you what you need, but from only one angle. It was guessing where things went from the other angle for him. Once he put the car together, he was able to take it apart, no problem. He wanted to build more difficult items, but needed assistance for the harder builds. Once he built something once, he was able to do repeat the same build without outside assistance.The 3 year old was only interested in putting the bolts on and off. It might just have been this 3 year old, but at this age, a lot more guidance and assistance is required.I had a 2 year old try it as well, (even though it says 3+) and they didn't really get it at all. There is no way that at this age they'd be able to build anything themselves, or even with assistance. The 3+ years is accurately stated.I also had an 11 year old and an 8 year old play with this as well (mostly assistance the 4 year old with a more complicated build), and were fairly interested. I don't think this would keep older kids, 8/9+ years for any good amount of time, but could easily assist younger children with this toy. This product comes with two tools to help loosen and tighten the bolts, so two children can play at the same time.Over all, quality, packaging, and instructions are very nice quality. I would recommend this product for anyone with children 3-8 years who enjoy building with things.

There are a lot of great aspects to this toy: -Comes with storage -Made with quality material -Wrenches are great for kids hands. They also have a ratcheting type function to prevent over tightening. -Booklet had some good ideas so we could build right away before the kids lost interest.There are a couple issues I have: - The box is just big enough for neat packing with all the bolts screwed into holes. Under normal pickup, the pieces are just thrown in the box. The attached picture shows my attempt at a slightly more organized pick up. - Some of the instructions required 6 bracket pieces, but only 4 come on the set. The kids were a little disappointed by that.Overall it is a great toy for little builders. I expect it to last for years to come.

This are pretty fun even for the adults. Lots of things to build. I wish the instructions went into more details on how to build things that would be better for young kids because all it is is a finished picture of the item and it just tells you what pieces you need to build it. Also he pieces do not say tight and loosen while playing with them which is a little frustrating but still a pretty fun building toy.

I bought this twice as a gift for 2 kids, the second one i ordered came with a cracked storage case. I contacted the seller and they were very accomodating and wanted to make it right immediately. The product seems to be good quality, and i love that it comes with a case to store it in, but i am moreso leaving 5 stars because of the awesome customer service i received!

My 2 1/2 year old absolutely loves these! This has quickly become the toy that can keep her attention for the longest. (And I’m enjoying them too).Could have some minor improvement (screws too close in some designs, could look for a different proportion of shapes...too few boxes and too many strips) but no major complaints! Overall great for a younger child to start to learn/enjoy to build!

Great basic learning kit for kids. My 4 year old found the kit simple enough to work with at the same time Being complicated enough to be mentally challenging. I would definitely recommend this product to be a learning tool for kids to teach themselves about construction building logic and fun.
