Saw everyone talking about them. Bought this. Then bought more to give to friends
This thing is incredible. Adds some sort of voice switch on the silver that the gold doesnt have but they sound different to me. I ended up liking the gold more but its all personal preference. You cant go wrong with either of these

Great bang for the buck
Bought the Silver Horse. I was looking for a mini overdrive for traveling, etc, and read some good reviews on both the Silver Horse and Gold Horse online. At the price point, it seemed like a safe bet. No regrets! The overdrive circuit can get soft and creamy, dig in with a little more bite by adjusting the gain/treble knobs, or nice and mid-rangey. This is essentially a light-gain overdrive and replica of the Klon circuit for about $30. Flip down to the boost mode and you have a mid-range saturated, nice little boost with a touch of grit on tap with that Gain knob, and tone co troll with the treble knob. And for a boost, it's not unreasonably loud compared to the OD mode. The only thing I'd change is that the input/output jacks don't grab very firmly, but this hasn't caused any issues yet. For 30 bills, you can't go wrong with this.

It adds that sweet spot.
Ordered the Mosky Silver Horse & a Klon clone from China. The Mosky arrived in 48 hrs-Great. The Klon clone is expected in 3-4 wks. I'll update w/ comp then. I'm searching for that tube sweet spot sound from my amp w/o the ++db(s). I have a late 60(s) Fender Deluxe Reverb-Drip Edge. I know the "sweet spot" sound. I set the amp at; volume-7.5, treble-7.5, bass-10. That's stupid loud but playing 1 floor up & 1 room over from the amp gets that near microphonic feedback "like" effect as if from a P90 while playing a HB pup or Filtertron instead. I have a Ibanez TS & Dunlop Fuzz Face. This beats them both, minus the db(s) & distance.

Sounds great!
Maybe not the real thing - but it sure does much for the tone - especially with a guitar with P90's - but flavours all guitars regardless of P/up type -YMMV!

Works super well for the price.

Awesome boost at great price!!
This is a great pedal for a boost. Doesn't break up as much as a full on distortion but really boosts the signal. It works great on the front end to push another distortion or OD pedal into meanness. One of my cheapest pedals, but definitely a mainstay on my board.

Does What It Says on the Label
I'm no expert, so please take this with a grain of salt. The pedal does exactly as expected based on the youtube reviews. The signal's not nearly as noisy as I thought it would be. It's either on par, or better than my Boss and Behringer pedals.I saw complaints that someone's 9V jack wouldn't fit properly without modifying the power input jack which worried me, but I plugged a Boss PSA-120 into it with no issues. I have a generic 9v adapter(longer plug) that fits even better. The clipping mode switch is a huge plus, the bottom setting has more low end while the top setting has a crunchier "rockier" sound. Can't speak to its performance vs a Klon but it definitely has that old-school rock kinda vibe.Shockingly feels like a sturdy, well-built pedal.LED is brighter than the sun, as expected.I've only used it for maybe an hour, but no complaints yet!

Nice drive
Love the sound of this drive pedal. It generates a high pitch tone when dimed after a buffer, which is neat but not useful. The foot switch is higher quality than I expected. The DC Jack is too recessed for my power cables, so I needed to modify the plug.

Can't beat it for the money
I don't own a real Klon but I have several other Klones and this one is every bit as good as the others. If you're looking for a good general purpose overdrive, this one will work fine.
