It works like a charm!
Our dogs are great escape artist.. They started ripping the wood boards off our privacy fence and running off at least once every two weeks. It’s been 3 months since we installed it and they haven’t gotten within 3ft from the fence on the lowest setting! It’s been a lifesaver.

Doesn't work
At first (the first week) it worked great. . It's been less than a month and a collor seems to have stopped working, and now it doesn't shock eaither collor. I want a refund. Or a new one sent. Maybe this one was defective or something. I will be calling tomorrow morning. Very disappointed!!!! Kinda upset to be honest.

Great value for multiple dogs, good performance, but complicated remote.
So far, I’m satisfied with the collars, especially for the reasonable cost. We have used ecollars in the past with a previous Lab, and she did great with the collar and it was very easy to use. The Kool Kani system so far has been easy to install the outer boundary wire and get it working, and my pups (11 month and 4 month) labs are just starting to be trained on leash. The older one does well and recognizes the tone right away, and the younger still has a way to go but that is expected. She’s actually a little young still anyway. The ability to control the systems use of tone/vibration range with one setting, and “e-stimulate”/shock with another is fantastic. While I tested both, and you can set different ranges, I’m actually thrilled that I can use the tone/vibration only and turn the shock range off. With the younger pup, I want to start training them both, but didn’t want to be confusing or over stimulating her so the ability to turn it off for now during training period is great.I only have a few minor annoyances that I am having to get used to with the new system, all of it related to how the remote works. First of all, it is very cumbersome to manage choosing vibration or tone or shock signal type, separately choosing which dog you want to stimulate, and then hitting the transmit button. Several times I’ve buzzed the wrong pup, or used tone when I wanted vibration. Something simpler, perhaps choose dog, then hit button for tone / vibrate / shock and it transmits right away would be nicer. It would also be extremely helpful if there was an option to transmit to both dogs at the same time. Right now you have to choose one and transmit, wait for it to finish, switch dogs and transmit that signal. When they both run at the same time it’s chaos and only one at a time can be stimulated to bring them back. It would be nice if the third slot on the remote could be set to hit both collars at the same time with their individual settings.Second aggravation is that the intensity levels consist of a combination of the duration and the intensity. I would prefer it to only be intensity and that the stimulation length is based on how long I press the button. This is how my previous system worked. A quick tap would give a quick tone or buzz and the pups would often be back on focus. A longer press would continuously stimulate until they shook off the distraction and resumed following commands. This unit only has the ability to pick a length of time based on an intensity choice and switching intensities “in the field” is nearly impossible given how long it takes to tap your way through tens of levels, especially since you have to be sure your on the correct dog you need to switch and remember to set it back.Lastly, and related to the above, while the remote is transmitting to one dog, it is fully consumed and you can’t switch dogs, switch types of stim, or change intensity. As a result their is a second to two second delay between being able to send commands. Anyone with pups, especially Lab pups knows that a couple seconds is an eternity of troublemaking opportunity. One minor irritant common to all ecollars I’ve found by default is the collar itself is hard to get on and off. A quick release collar would be nice but I’m sure would add cost. Not a ding against this collar but a general issue that makes it harder to put the collars on right consistently.I’ll update in the future as I learn more. Right now I’m happy with the value and convenience of one system for two dogs so I will give it time to see if I can adapt and overcome the limitations I’ve noted above.

Excellent product
Best $200 I have spent in awhile. I love you can take the remote outside of the fenced area. Battery life is amazing on the collars and remote. Remote is easy to use. I love that there are 3 options for correction and the level of correction is saved for each dog. For example, we can have the setting higher for our long haired dog than our shorthair and it is always saved to the last inputted correction level.

One collar doesn't work
I have 2 collars and one works great but the second collar only works with the handset but it doesn't work with the perimeter wire. I can't get a hold of anyone to see if I can fix it. I purchased it a while ago but just set it up so the return or exchange option is gone....

Awesome Customer Service
Ordered the KoolKani Remote Dog Training & Underground fence. A couple of months after, the main unit indicated a line break. After inspection, it seemed the main unit had gone bad. Contacted Legend Zone, and the next day they had a new one shipped to me. Struggled a bit with the new device as well. Legend Zone then sent me two new collars.Long story short, Legend Zone worked with me to fix my problem, even sent me yet another base unit. The response time and professionalism were great. Wish every company I dealt with would treat me this way.

Will update after replacement of DOA transmitter
First of all, the Seller is incredible, I ordered it Saturday night and received it the following Monday, just 1.5 days later, impressive!I am replacing a Pet Is Safe (don't know if competing brand names are allowed in review, but easily discernable) that I have had for 6 years, I was pleased with their system except the plastic collar needed replacing yet again and the system model has been discontinued and new systems use different frequency requiring total new purchase, therefore I chose to do that elsewhere, the KoolKani system looked good with some caveats which are:#1) the wire is 23 gauge, my previous system came with 20 gauge (the lower the number, the thicker the wire) and when we moved I wanted to make sure that I would not have to do as many repairs of the wire so I went to a Big Box to buy a large enough spool of 14 gauge. The job is hard enough to bury this wire, therefore I wanted to only mess with it once. The caveat is there is a significant difference in cost between 23 gauge and 14 gauge, therefore KoolKani can sell at a lower price, based on my earlier experiences, I would never install a 23 gauge. I don't mind throwing the 23 gauge away, I don't know what I would use it for. I am OK with KoolKani doing this, just buyer beware when comparing prices and when deciding what wire you will use.#2) on page 27, regarding the transmitter, the manual states, "plug the power adapter into a standard 240-volt household outlet." In the USA a standard household outlet is 120, not 240. the plug is standard and will not fit into a 240v receptacle (which are made for dryers, stoves, etc), I assume a typo, .... #3) on the back of the transmitter it says "Input:12V DC" however the power adapter that supplies DC to the transmitter states that its output is 24 VAC. I'm not an electrician but it sounds like the power adapter is delivering twice as much power as the transmitter can handle.#3) this is THE PROBLEM THAT CAUSED ME TO SEEK A REPLACEMENT, the transmitter was dead on arrival, it did not power on when power supply attached (possibly related to #2?).#4) The box has no website, phone number or anything fo access to customer service.Amazon promised I would have my replacement unit in 2 days, I will plug that unit in and update my review with a(hopefully) working system.I should be able to update before the end of the week.
