No more eye strain-love it love it love it!
My husband got me some handheld, full page magnifying sheets that didn’t work. They made the page look dull & grey & we’re hard to adjust to see anything clearly. I was afraid this was going to be the same by some reviews I read and when I first took it out of the package, but it’s fantastic and exactly what I was looking for to read my Bible and other small print! I love the LED’s too, which help when I need them. The pictures I attached don’t even do it justice, the page is a lot clearer than even the pictures show. It’s like looking through clear glass but enlarged. I don’t know why others say they have had issues. I can see the whole page of my Bible without having to move it. I’ve been using it with the neck cord, which I don’t even really notice since the product is so light weight. I use it sitting in my recliner and sometime like to pull my knees up while reading, so I put a cord lock-stop on the cord so I can shorten it when needed. I have not had any problems seeing my pages clearly at any angle I have had them at. I keep it between 2”-4” off my page. Sometimes my overhead lamp makes some reflections on the bottom of the screen but nothing distracting or irritating. I love being able to read again without straining my eyes! I’ll but another one for my husband if he wants! I wish the usb cord was a bit longer, but my recliner has a usb hub, so it works fine.

Full Page Magnifier with 12 LED Lights
When I opened the package, the entire frame seemed light and flimsy, especially with the legs extended. I quickly found that the lightweight construction was required for reading just about anything as you don't want to be wrestling with a dead weight. The 3X magnifier lense does a very adequate job of making small print readable and the legs are great with books and newspapers as it leaves your hands free and the lense is stable. The lights are also useful as there is never enough light where I am trying to read. The device has two ways of providing power to the lights, AAA batteries and by supplied usb cable. I am very satisfied with this magnifier, it's just what I needed.

Mixed
Overall the product works so I am keeping it. First, the lights are worthless. Great idea, poor execution. Two settings for brightness but both too dim.The magnifier works great. So I am keeping and will use a headlamp for lighting my needle felting projects. The stand is flimsy but light enough to manipulate. The legs are too short so I added foam insert to each leg to make it taller on my lap.So if you can use stronger light source and are handy enough to use foam to adjust height - it works well for magnifier.

Works
It's not a lot of money, but seems like it should be a little less because of the quality. It does work, but it fragments the light on the screen, so looks distorted on much of the area. (Then again, it is plastic.) The little legs are a little fragile, so... just be careful. The lights work great, but the computer cord is short, so it leaves you tethered to the computer. It definitely does magnify, so it works well enough to help your vision, like for smaller tasks, but for me is not easy for reading books. You may still need to visit the optometrist, like me!

Not helpful at all
My eyesight is failing and this looked like a great solution, but for me it is useless. When the device is standing on a desk, a document under the lighted plastic is way out of focus. It needs to be raised up by an inch or so. Getting something in focus is very difficult. Hanging it around my neck was awkward and again getting things in exact focus was hard. The 3x magnification was not really high enough for me but I realize that the higher the magnification the more difficult it is to get things in focus. This unit might work well for others but it does not for me.

Hard for Seniors to Use
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom who is bedridden in a nursing home so she could read more books and magazines with smaller print. The concept is good but she could not position it above the book to be able to see through it while holding a book in her lap/against a table. The magnifying glass must be a certain distance from the object. She tried using the fold-out legs, using the neck string, trying to hold it while also holding a book. No option worked. The larger size is good and it is lightweight. The fold-out legs seem flimsy and they are kind of sharp on the bottoms of the legs. The neck string is just that, a string. It should be a comfortable adjustable strap. The light is a nice feature. I returned this magnifying glass to Amazon since my mom couldn’t use it, unfortunately.

Great for crafting and reading!
This is an excellent aid for reading, and my hands fit comfortably under it and can maneuver easily to sew and do little repair jobs, like replace a screw in the frame of my glasses. The unit is very light weight, easy to open and close the legs, and to use and move around. The light it provides in addition to the magnification is very helpful. Battery insertion is easy if you follow the directions provided. It is light weight, and the legs have a little flex, which can seem flimsy, but also means they are less likely to snap than if they were rigid and brittle. The whole unit is well enough made that with reasonably careful handling, I expect it will last a long time.
