Great spin cast reel
Probably one of the smoothest casting reels I’ve ever used. Also having 2 spools lets you change very quickly when you need to

sturdy construction
I used the line supplied for one fishing trip and it worked well. i changed to trilene xl 6lbs test and I like it. This is a fairly heavy real with cut bronze (I think) gears. It is very well made. I am very happy with this purchase and I bought four for the family so far and I may buy a few more for the grands!

Casts really well and has a good drag. I put 6 lb test in it and use it for Crappie fishing

Very nice reel
Best Zebco reel I've bought. It is on the heavier side but it won't take long to adjust.

Blugill and Ultralights
This reel is by far the best spincast reel that I've ever used. Smooth casts, extreemly smooth retrieves, and a very solid build. The drag is located nicely. Easy to get to, but not easy to bump by mistake, and it adjusts nicely too. I've only had it out on one trip so far, but I think I'm going to enjoy it for a long, long time. I need to get a few more. Here's my story.Edit - I've had these reels for 4 years now, and they're still the best spincast reels I've ever had the pleasure to use. No mater how fast and hard I reel a fish in, the reel never loads the line up, and always casts perfectly smooth on the next cast. I mostly fish for bluegill, and some crappie. I've not had much of a problem finding reels that work well with a bobber and split shot. Sure some are junk, but over the last 25 years I've found a number of $20 reels that work quite well. However, I prefer to use artificial baits like beetle spins, or 1 1/2" grubs on a 1/32 oz jig head with or without a spinner. Finding a good reel that will cast a 1/32 oz jig head with a 1 1/2" grub has been a challenge, but I think my quest is finally over. I tried useing open face reels for a few years but I never got used to it so I went back to looking for a good spincast. I don't get to fish nearly as much as I used to, but was finaly able to get out with my 4yo daughter over the weekend. I had ordered a pair of these reels to replace some ageing Johnson Century 100B reels that I have on a couple of my 6' ultralights. I didn't get the reels ordered early enough, but they did arrive the afternoon before our little adventure. I have a few 5 1/2' rods that have some older reels on them, so I swapped one of those out for one of the Omega 2 reels. Once I got my daughter all set up in the morning, between unhooking her fish, putting a new worm on, and casting her pole back out, and watching her bobber for her, I put a jig head and small grub on the shorter rod with the Omega 2, and I put a small beetle spin on a 6' rod with a cheep Pfluger 4410CX reel and new 4lb mono. Between helping my daughter with her fish, I would swap between the two setups. I had intentionally set the new reel up with the more difficult combination. I could not cast quite as far with the Omega 2 setup, but that was to be expected given the shorter rod, heavier line, and lighter tackle, but I was surprised by just how far I could cast it. The retrieves blew me away! They were silky smooth. When I got a hit, it felt like I hit a ROCK! I could feel every bump along the way. Drag adjustments were in small increments and were very repeatable. I had no problems setting it up. At the end of the day, my daughter and I had put about 15 nice bluegill each in the basket, and she had a blast doing it (wich was the main goal for the day). After getting home, getting the fish cleaned, and everything put away, I pulled a cheaper, problematic reel off one of my 6' ultra light rods, and put the Omega 2 in its place. I can't wait to get it out and fish with it some more. Now I just need to get 3 or 4 more!

Bought zebco reel July 21 and it broke Dec 21 only used it 10 times tops
I bought two spin caster reels off amazon in July 21 and both have broken. I really liked this reel it was light, small and easy to use as I have limited use of one arm. Again I hardly used the zebco and the cast button broke I did not even get to catch a fish with it. I contacted zebco directly on 11 Jan 21 ref 36944 and they said if I return it to the USA at my cost ($30) they would look at it to see if it’s a product fault no guarantee they will replace it. A bit disappointed that it broke after so little use and I had to pay to ship it back. I have not shipped it back not viable. I expected better customer service.I bought a more expensive zebco reel to replace this one and when reading reviews, the cast button breaking is a common problem with the zebco.

さすがUSAのリールと思いきや、メイドインチャイナだったので少しがっかり。まだ実釣してないけど、重くて頑丈そうです。重いけどロッドに装着した時の バランスはあいそうです。期待をこめて☆4ヶです。
