hawos BILLY 200 Grain Mill Stone Flour Mill 220-240 Volts

The media could not be loaded. I have a Komo Classic and wanted a second mill for our vacation home. I ordered the Billy 200 for it's slightly larger capacity and because I felt plywood would be more stable in a coastal environment. I received the Billy. Perfect externally, it vibrated excessively from the start and had a loud grating noise. I took a video side by side with the Komo with and without the hopper. Clearly something was wrong internally. The next time I used the mill, it made a shrieking sound and the flour produced was very very warm, almost hot to the touch. That was just one hopper load. Seller said manufacturer wants me to ship back the unit while they examine it and they will partially pay for shipping. The seller said the manufacturer believes it's a power frequency issue (???!!!). The Komo was plugged in the exact same outlet. Before posting these reviews I contacted the seller several times and provided the video and detailed description. I also attempted their suggested fix (tighten the bottom stone). My mill is clearly defective. Probably something with the motor in an area not accessible by the user. While the mill is promising, product support is just terrible. I don't want to use it because it overheats. I've only run two hopper loads on the mill.Additionally, the mill was shipped with german instructions and I had to download the english version.It's really disappointing. I'm an avid cook and spend a lot on cooking equipment and was originally excited to receive this.
