They are made by the authorized firm, and are made according to the original design and specifications. So, just like buying a Womb chair or Barcelona chair from Knoll or a Eames chair from Herman Miller they are mass produced items so never original but made by the firm which is authorized and pays royalties and manufactured to the correct specifications of the designer. All the stainless steel products are hand-polished, which is a rather time consuming process performed by only the most skilled craftsmen.
