My father, who is 95 years old, has difficulty when eating out. He can't bite larger chunks into smaller ones, and even when food is sliced to be "bite-sized" they are not always small enough.I generally need to cut up his food before he can eat, and to that end I need a decent set of utensils. Most American/European sit-down restaurants provide stainless forks and knives, but most fast food restaurants have flimsy plastic forks, and really bad plastic knives. Chinese restaurants often don't have knives at all since they cut up the food in the kitchen to be "bite sized," even if those are too big for my dad.My solution has been to carry utensils with me into these restaurants. For the longest while I would grab some mismatched forks and knives from the kitchen, put them in a ziplock bag, and carry them with me that way. But that was always a stabbing accident waiting to happen.This utensil set is a very nice solution for me. It comes in a solid carry case, the utensils themselves are solid and "normal" sized at the top, and most importantly, I can use them to easily prepare my dad's food for him when on the road.The body of these utensils is a bit light, and I'm not sure what to use the dual-prong fork for, but otherwise this set works great for my purposes. Since they come in a carry case, I don't have to use a ziplock bag, and the knife and forks are not puncture threats. They wash easily, to get ready for the next excursion.Overall, a 5 for utility, a 4 for overall quality.

When I received them, I loved them so much that I immediately ordered a second set. It comes with 4 forks, spoons, knives and 4 dessert spoons and forks. Compared to other stores, the price for the set is great. When I saw them at World Market, priced individually at $3 each, I knew I had to come back to Amazon to grab them. The look, feel and quality is great.

I bought 6 of these. One for me, and five as a gift for my family. The reason I bought these many is because I wanted to stop using single-use plastic straws, spoons and forks when eating out. And I thought maybe if my family have them too, they wouldn't have to use disposable cutlery too.So when the package arrived, I just opened 1 of 6 sets for me to use. They are in great quality and I love using them. Then after a week, I opened the rest of them to prepare as a gift. Sadly, 2 of 6 sets have damage on its containers, on its corners. I wonder if they have those cracks before they were packaged. I mean, they were shipped with a bubble wrap packaging. I don't want to return the whole 2 sets. If you could just send me two containers, that would be awesome. Thanks.

This set is great for a single person. Very clean design as far as the silhouette of each utensil goes. Would not recommend to use more than once or put these in the dishwasher. I did not notice a plastic film over the handles prior to dishwashing, so that created a shrink wrap effect after the dishwasher. The “wood” design chips and peels very easily, even if you scrape it with your finger nail.

These are beautiful but not practical at all. They leave water stains even when washed and dried in a dishwasher. I have to hand dry and buff them in order for the water marks to go away.

The knives tend to bend (permanently) when applying a little more force than usual. I was cutting cold butter.Other than that, quite happy about the set.
