Game changer for tube fed babies
We bought these mitts, not because our 6 week old scratches her face - we've been really lucky in that regard - but because she has an NG feeding tube going inti her nose. When her hands are bare she gets a finger hooked around the tube and yanks it out, so we like to keep her hands hidden in scratchmitts. Only problem is, she has worked out by rubbing her arms together she can get them off. It's the middle of a very hot summer at the moment and we've been having to keep her in full sleep suits because it's all we've found with built in scratchmitts. I was considering doctoring some of her cheaper mitts to have drawstrings anyway until I found these ones and decided to give them a go. What. A. Game changer! Admittedly, me and my husband laughed when we saw the size of them as we pulled them out of the packet, but actually they fit really well! She has enough space to move and wiggle her hands which keeps her rwally happy, while keeping her fingers away from the tube. It means all those cute, short sleeve outfits we have had bought are useable again because she can wear these with them. And if we want something a bit prettier or to hide the holes, we just put a normal pair of scratchmitts over the top of them. It means we have a much happier baby as she's not overheating in full sleepsuits anymore, but mummy and daddy can also sleep easier knowing we won't wake up to a pulled out tube and another run over to the hospital to get it reinserted. Very happy with them!!

Does your child baby skin issues
I think this is the first ever amazon review I've written but I thought about the other mothers out there dealing with children with skin problems like mine and how a review could help them...My daughter is 10 months old shes a beautiful baby but suffers from mild to moderate exczema... I often bought mitts from asda etc but the problem was that she would just rub and rub her face at night and get friction burns by the time I got to her..I bought various mitts but had the same issues and without the mitts well shed scratch half her face off even though I file down her nails every few days...These mitts are thin light and very soft. I could see how if your child had sharp nails they would rip but the softness means the skin is a lot less effected by the rubbing plus the ties mean she can't take them off. For me personally it's been a brilliant buy and I would recommend them. .Hopefully I'll get a full night's sleep soon!

Good buy, bit big for prem babies
Brought for my premature baby so these were quite big for him, I just stitched and made them smaller. I liked them cause they were tie up ones so they didn’t keep falling off and they are good for babies hands to breathe. Probably not suitable for prem babies unless you alter them.

not 100% cotton as described
Thin and soft, quality is OK. Size OK for my 4month old baby who is a big boy. Three stars because they are not 100% cotton as described ( only the wrist part is cotton ).

Perfect for a new born that scratche their face.
I bought this for my new born baby barely a month old who kept scratching herself everytime she felt any discomfort. This product was perfect for the summer weather. The gloves are light, breathable and the laces make it impossible for it to slip off. I see a lot of people saying it's too big. My baby was born at 3.3kg in weight and it fit perfectly. People just like to complain for no reason.

Waste of Money
Don’t buy! I bought 2 sets of these and yes they are breathable to the point were the child’s fingers will pop out from the holes and he/she will itch away when you are not around. Then you will wake up to see a bloody child in the morning. They are very poorly made. If it’s for a older child (5-9 month) definitely get the Morrison’s baby mittens for £1.00 !!! Yes they are white but can’t go wrong with the price or quality.
