Enercell1 To 2 Hour Battery Charger 23-787

This product looked great, versatile, comes with batteries, and has a light that is red when charging, green when fully charged and blinking red if a battery may be bad (or so the instructions indicate).Well every rechargeable battery I inserted, even the new ones which came with the charger unit, caused a red blinking light. I'd return it, but it is not worth the mailing expense and I feel I've waited too long before using it. Lesson learned: try out things right away.

Purchased from Radio Shack, in person.Used the AAA batteries in a Logitech Wireless Mouse at office setting. Cycled 2 pairs over 1yr, until the charger failed to charge them (red blinking light). Coincidentally(?), both sets failed to charge in the same month; thus, I suspect the charger may be failing.Called Enercell customer service rep, who was unwilling to work w/ me to solve the issue, test the products, etc. Rep repeated that I should buy new batteries...no other option.I vow to not purchase from Radio Shack, Enercell, or Ignition until this problem is resolved. I will not waste unnecessary resources in this way.
