Most plastic pans are wimpy but this metal pan is great for mixing and application.

I was expecting this pan to be 14" long, but it is really 15.75 inches long at the top, which gives you plenty of room to use a 14" taping knife. The welds were fine. All were solid and smooth except for a small lump in one inside corner at the bottom, which really isn't an issue. The top edges were very sharp in some places. Some people might like that sharp, square edge to clean their knives on, but I was sure I'd cut myself on them at some point. I rounded them a bit with a few swipes of sandpaper so they weren't razor sharp. Overall, a pretty nice pan for the price.

As a diy’er I am glad I picked one of these up. Beats the plastic one I got at the big box store. Sometimes it’s the little things that help make a job much more doable.
