I work with the Alz & Dementia population, and as some may know pending on a persons ACL (cognitive level) certain things are more difficult than others. Well, if you are a PT, OT, or Activity Professional I highly recommend this. I have residents at ACL 2 who can utilize this safely, using both gross & fine motor skills all while feeling confident in their ability. Best part, no mess/clean up & no worries about them accidentally consuming unsafe materials. A must buy for professionals.

The dream board is a nice size and comes nicely packaged for gift giving. You can use the packaging for storing the board and accessories when not in use as it has nice cutouts for the stand, brush, and board. It takes a little practice to get used to painting with water and learning how much water to have on the brush for the strokes. I bought a Chinese brush painting instruction book to help me practice. This is great relaxation tool with no pressure to get the “painting” right. And, you could use it to practice for actual painting with watercolors or oils.

This item allows one to test brushes, work out possible light-dark contrasts, patterns, little scenes, and just mindless doodling. It does take some time to dry, but controlling the degree of water in the brush with a damp sponge can cut the drying time a good deal. I would much rather it were larger by half, but I still give this useful little artist's tool fives stars. A small jar of water or a water-brush can give hours of time to practice your various brush strokes or test the quality of your various brushes, and then just close the lid and it will ready for your next doodle.

Deceptively small. In the description it lists 9x11 so I thought I was getting that. What arrived is like 5x5 the mini. Below the large size is the size for the mini which I didn’t see. And it’s not obvious in the title. Will be returning. :(

My child and I love to use the board to either paint or write short messages. It is relaxing and the best part is no mess at all.
