Perfect bedding for rats!
I wanted to try a different more comfortable bedding for my rats, and had noticed a few people recommend this as a good bedding. I was skeptical at first because it is meant for horses but thought I'd buy it and give it a go anyway. I am incredibly happy with it! There's barely any dust so doesn't affect their respiration, it is very absorbant and clumps up after they've soiled it making spot cleaning every day super easy. It's incredibly soft and they love burrowing in it. I've done a full cage clean twice since buying and I've barely made a dent in the bag so you're definitely getting a lot for what you pay! Speaking of cleaning, it's super easy to scoop up while doing a full clean, and any bits in the corners or edges you just can't reach with a scoop can be hoovered easily without causing a blockage. There is a very slight stable-y smell to it but honestly it's not overpowering at all and I'd rather deal with a little bit of smell to know my girls are happy (and the stable smell is to be expected anyway considering it is advertised for horses/stables).Overall I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a good bedding for their rats, and I'm sure it would work well for other small rodents too. I will definitely be buying this again when it eventually runs out.

Excellent as gerbilarium substrate!
The media could not be loaded. Had this recommended by a gerbil breeder to use as the 'digging layer' for a gerbilarium. It's cheap (way cheaper per litre than official small rodent bedding) and it holds their tunnels really well (see pics/video). The only negatives are the dust (not too bad - and doesn't seem to affect the gerbils in any way as it is only pulped cardboard?) and the slightly horsey smell ( - it is marketed as STABLE BEDDING after all!).We have had a couple of dodgy bags, though, which were rather too whiffy - but at this price we just ditched them and bought another couple of bags as replacements). It's also worth noting this stuff is entirely compostible - so it goes straight into our garden waste wheelie with no issues from the collectors at all.For reference, our cage is a Skyline Falco 80, and one 80l bag fills the glass tank section to about 10 inches/25cm and lasts 3-4 weeks between changes. We add a few large handfuls of shop-bought meadow hay and a few handfuls of gerbil-safe shredded tissue. Keeps our daughter's gerbils happy for ages......

perfect for small animals
the product comes very well packaged , the product itself is in a strong plastic bag as shown in the picture and then this bag is inside a woven plastic bag which i am now using to store hay inside .I have read a couple of reviews that have said it had an awful smell , I found this not to be the case it smelt as i expected it to no damp what so ever. You get a lot of product for the money and it will last a long time i am using it in my guinea pig c and c cage which is over 6 foot long by 2 foot wide , and in my house rabbits litter tray and also in my hamsters cage and I have not even made a dent in the product really . It is very absorbent and has great odour control . I have found it very easy to spot clean daily I have had it in my guinea pigs cage now over a week i scoop out the poops and pee area around 3/4 times a day i think i will need to do a deep clean every 8/9 days or so as this bedding is so good.It is dust free and much less messy than other beddings i have used in the past will be continuing to use this and will update my reivew on how long it lasts when i know

Great Cost Effective Bedding
Heard good things about megazorb so thought I would try it out.Very pleased with it, I think it looks good if you like a more natural looking bedding. Its a lot of small pieces but it is really soft and easy to use as it doesn't need breaking up to use it, my hamster enjoys it.It does have a funky smell to it I can't quite explain what it smells like but i don't find it too bad and I'm sure it will air out quickly. All in all great bedding, cost effective.A whole bag should last me atleast 3 or more months, I will carry on using it for my hamsters.

Great for small animals
Not sure why people mention the smell? To me is smells great, a mixture of fresh musty wood and newspaper. Only downside is that small animals will easily kick it out of cages/hutches due to the size. Makes clean up a breeze though! (also it's easily compostable which is a plus)

Brilliant for guinea pig bedding, light, absorbent and masks the smell
I use this for Guinea Pig bedding. Ive tried wood shavings, wood pellets and recycled shredded cardboard but this is definitely the best. It's much more absorbent than shavings, nice and soft so no risk of scratching their eyes. Clumps up where they urinate so easy to clean as well and the bag is huge so its great value plus a little goes a long way.

Not good for Ferrets
I thought I would try this as I'd heard good things. Unfortunately I found its not very good for ferrets. The bag is huge and will last a long time. With it being so light it sticks to their fur and ends up on the floor around the cage. It's also not very good for stopping the smell of their toileting. It was already noticeable the next day.

Perfect for Guinea pig
I was getting fed up of buying wood shaving which had massive sharp bits of wood in & very dusty. Read on a forum these are great for small rodents etc It’s excellent really comfy & soft super absorbent & should last ages really pleased
