Incredible Deal for a Quality Product
I have had $5000 hearing aids for the last 6 years and the battery door finally broke. Rather than have them fixed which would have cost more than the cost of the neosonic units I choose to try them. The neosonic receiver in canal hearing amplifiers are AMAZING. They perform better than my 5K units. My loss is low and when I power them on by closing the battery door I simply hit the down button five times and then put them on for the day. With Rayovac number 10 batteries I got 9 days of use! INCREDIBLE! The distortion is super low and they are quality made units. I have very small ear canals and uses the smallest open fit domes, units come with a variety of domes. I highly recommend these units as they are also very small and hardly noticeable and super light. If they had memory to remember were they were set last they would be perfect and I would gladly pay $100 more for this feature. It is not a big deal as I only have to set them when I first turn them on.

Good Product, Great Price
I used to have a Widex all in the ear digital hearing aid. Lasted 15 years before I dropped it and due to it's age and technological changes, it wasn't repairable. It originally cost over $2,000.00 in 2001, and my company medical plan picked up 80% of the cost. Accordingly I've been doing without for the last several years.I had been looking for a replacement for a while now after reading about the improvements in what they're currently calling the digital PSAP's. I saw several brands advertised here on Amazon, and after reading the specs and reviews on the Neosonic I did some internet research and decided to give it a try.To put it directly I am more than satisfied with this product. It was actually smaller than I thought it would be, the instructions were clear, and the quality of the sound is almost on a par with my old hearing aid. I spent the first day experimenting with the modes and volume levels and finally found a combination that gave me the best overall results. It's very comfortable to wear and the earpiece (dome) stays in place pretty well. Although if I could suggest one change it would be to make the wired connection from the body of the unit to the earpiece just a little longer. It would make it easier to get the dome inserted properly into the canal. To finish up, I can honesty say that I would have no problem recommending the Neosonic to a couple of my friends who are starting to have some hearing issues but are put off by the current range of brand name digital hearing aids that can run anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000 ( or more). For under $300, the Neosonic I bought is a flat out bargain.

like I said
This is the first time that I have ever purchased a hearing aid. After reading the comments from others who had purchased very expensive units, I decided to give this Neosonic a try, based on the reviews that others had posted. I became convinced of my obvious need when I could hear the beep of a Temple Thermometer with my left ear, but, I couldn't hear it thru my right ear, when I took my temperature on my right Temple !! (My wife who is a Nurse Manager didn't nag me about my hearing loss, but, apparently she kept telling the company reps who sell them to send me literature thru the mail. I kept throwing it away.) Then, like I said, I convinced myself that I do have significant conversational hearing loss.Well, I purchased the Neosonic, and, it gets 5 Stars from me. It came with good instructions. It was easy to install the battery, and, it was easy to set it for my level of hearing loss. The quality of the sound is excellent. I actually set it to level 2 (out of 4) and that was too loud, so, I set it back to level 1. This is a very good product. I've been using it for 5 days and neither my wife nor my daughter have noticed that I am wearing it.Update of my Review: I have now had the Neosonic hearing aid for 4 months. I sent it back because I though that it was damaged and not working. It was not damaged. The issue is that the Neosonic is very sensitive to moisture. Exposing it to high moisture environment results in it shutting down. I spoke to John at customer service and he explained that to me. So, they returned it to me, and, I use it indoors and it works just fine. When I go to bed at night, I place it in a small container with a dessicant until the next morning when I begin using it again. I change the battery every 6-10 days and it works like perfectly like the first day. Since I live in Florida, I don't use it outdoors during the summer, but, I am now finding out that in this cooler weather, when the moisture is lower outdoors, I can use it outdoors as well. This is a very good product and it beats going to a doctor for a hearing aid prescription, and, purchasing one for $3,000 all the way up to $6,000 !!!!!!!!

I read the reviews on the less expensive pair which sounded good, but decided on this because I know people ...
I bought this for my mom and she who’s left hearing aid is being repaired. She was frustrated and struggling to hear unless up close and watching me talk. I read the reviews on the less expensive pair which sounded good, but decided on this because I know people who wear hearing aids with these setting adjustments & really hoping it would help her. It arrived in 2 days with very clear instruction and batteries. She is happy with this device and thinks it makes hearing easier. We’ ve been indoors most of the time, one trip to a crowded store and she didn’t ask me to repeat anything. It’s not perfect, but she is hearing sounds from the next room she wasn’t picking up before and I think word clarification has improved with some minor adjustments. I definitely know the tv volume is not set so high I have to put my earbuds in to be in the same room, so this is definitely a plus. I think this is a device that will have very individualized results ( all subjective ) with different perceptions and I’m not convinced the lesser priced one wouldn’t be Worth trying first. Best of luck as hearing deficiet is frustrating for all involved
