Magic the Gathering Ice Age Starter Deck

Absolutely THRILLED to get these!I've been a MTG player since 93/94 when I was a kid - Sadly, an ex-boyfriend who doesn't play stole all my cards and gave them away - So now I'm working on collecting my old school collection again - whatever the price may be lol!I play Green & Black (Swamps & Forests) ... I haven't opened the package yet, not sure I want too - 20 years since I've seen MTG Ice Age ...Really excited though, brand new, still in it's wrapping!

Box damaged on arrival. Still sealed though. 3/5 because it is terribly overpriced, even for 2018. There agent enough valuable cards to justify the purchase. Better off buying singles.

If you grew up in the 90's, you probably had some Ice Age cards. This is one of my favorite sets with the Norse theme and snow covered lands!

Im going to be honest. I am a nerd, and I acceptance this without regret. Back many moons ago I was at my local video game shop in awe of the brand new SNES systems on display I noticed the guy behind the desk playing a game with his friend. I didn't understand what they were playing, but they told me it had something to do with wizards, and lets face it pretty cool pictures. So I bought am ice blue deck of these cards and that started my journey. Magic the Gathering has been a constant friend since that day. So fastforward to 2011 and the amount the game has changed is astonishing. I wanted to relive the memory of cutting grass to get money to buy the cards and I ended up here. The seller got them to me lightning quick, which was great because I went on vacation for a month and I had them with me. Even at other card shops or playing in local FNM events the cards were with me as a reminder of where I started. Lets be honest here though, the game's format has changed and many of the cards from this block are outdated. Buying this deck really wasn't a strategic move to improve my deck, but rather a nostalgic thing for me. When I got the package it took me back to a time when summers meant something and girls had cooties. I smiled and so to did my inner eight year old. If you are wondering I did find some useful cards I could put into some of my decks however, just looking at that little snowflake on the side is enough to bring me back, and I am happy just knowing a great memory is right there in that ice blue box.

One of the ones I first bought when I got into magic, had to rebuy and not break up. My friend and I play this vs fifth edition starter deck and it's loads of nostalgic MTG fun!

Classic MTG deck. Nothing too special. Couple of rares. Fun if you buy in pairs for a draft night with a friend. Loses most of it's value once open.
