How much longer do these blades last compared to the prior generation?

I feel like a lot of the answers you received were from people that didn't fully read your "lengthy 12 word sentence" lol. So, COMPARED TO THE PRIOR GENERATION of the Diablo blades, they do last longer by about a 10:1 ratio. The earlier Diablo blades were good (like say, a Lenox, or Milwaukee quality). These however.... they are a quantum leap in terms of durability AND functionality. If you've used the older Diablo (or current versions of other brands "higher tier") blades, then these will shock you in their awesomeness. In things Diablo makes, (like circular/miter/table saw blades) they are mid tier. They are good blades, but not GREAT blades and there are better quality brands out there. But Diablo truly has the crown for the carbide versions of reciprocating, jigsaw, and oscillating tool blades.

Will the long one's cut cast iron pipe?

Yes, it cuts through that type of metal.

Does this fit a makita rj03 ? Thanks

These blades usually fit any standard battery driven reciprecating saw. Does your makita fit any other branded blades if so it would fit diablo

Will this fit an air saw?

I'm not sure as I don't have a pneumatic reciprocating saw. The connecting ends do fit all tool less blade connectors on traditional electric saws. Sorry I don't have the specifics for pneumatic tools.
