Gentlemens Collection Mens Tuxedo Shirts Poly/Cotton Free Bow Tie On Selected Styles

This is a fine quality shirt. I already own a 100% cotton tuxedo shirt (with French cuffs) which I use for the cold winter months. This shirt has regular BARREL cuffs and is a poly/cotton mix, which is much lighter and will be far more comfortable during warm-weather events. The shirt was maticulously packaged . . . as if it were a $100+ shirt. I removed the plastic button studs and cufflinks that came with the shirt because I already own special ones. However, the ones that came with the shirt would be fine in a pinch or for someone who doesn't own cufflinks and button studs. I rarely write reviews and this is the first time I've purchased anything from Gentlemen's Collection, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future. This shirt was a very good value for the price and the 16.5" collar and 32/33" sleeves fit as expected.

The quality of this shirt seemed quite good, and I would certainly have kept it has it not been for some serious size issues. First, I intended to order a shirt with a size 16 inch neck, but received one with a 22 inch neck. Did I fat-finger the size? Can't say it wasn't my error. Secondly, I ordered a classic fit because I was afraid a slim cut might be too tight around my moderate old-age belly bulge. I was expecting a straight cut like a normal shirt, but this shirt was enormous. It was like they make the shirt for specific neck size/sleeve lengths, but make body of the shirt large enough cover a full range of men sizes. Perhaps all classic cut tuxedo shirts are like this and I just didn't know any better. Anyway, I was fortunate enough to purchase this well in advance of when I need to wear it, so had the time to return it and find something with a better fit.

Shirt fit very well. Docked a star for one of the buttons is coming off before ever being used, and it came with a crease in the bow tie which comes pre-tied and is fastened around the neck with a clip. I believe I should be able to iron the tie and sew the button on, but it is inconvenient for a new item to arrive damaged.I added a photo of the shirt and bow tie under a suit which I also got on amazon (I returned the suit).

I was overall pleased with the shirt. I bought and wore it as a groomsman at my brother in-laws wedding. My one complaint was that I assumed it would have a French cuff. (It is a tuxedo shirt, right?) Looking at the description, there's no mention one way or another about what cuff it has and the pictures don't make it clear either. I hope the seller updates the description to have a clear cuff description.

The shirt itself looks good, and the bow tie is indeed usable. A nice find for the price.Here is why it's only 3. I spend quit some time asking around about other measurements, wanting to know if I could know chest or waist measurements. This one doesn't say if it's slim, regular, or big. Most places told me "measure neck and arms and order accordingly.". I was hesitant because, well, I am not a skinny individual but I thought, alright, since everyone is saying that, let's try.Well, I am here to tell you, if I was a pound heavier, this would not fit. I think it will work under my tux, but it is a close fit indeed. And this is why companies should be more careful when they say "it should fit if you measure your arms or neck". Because it isn't always true. The last few shirts I bought elsewhere it was the case, but not with this one. People are shaped differently. So perhaps it would be better to just answer what is asked.

The fit of this shirt is fine, but every single button had long pieces of thread hanging off them. After I cuf off all the extra thread it was fine, EXCEPT... no cuff links were included-like the picture shows. And the cuffs don’t have the proper holes to use any cuff links! The cuffs are just regular two button cuffs (with a bunch of extra thread as mentioned). This was disappointing as it was a last minute purchase for my son’s orchestra concert.

It's a lovely shirt. I ordered it in a larger neck size because my husband was complaining of a tight collar. It was too big. I re-ordered it in a smaller size. It should be just right.

The neck fits but it is very Slim fitting in the waist.
