Civilisation Progressive Du Francais (French Edition)

Good, standard French textbook. It is pretty slim so it's easy to carry around. Good for intermediate French-speakers

As a rank beginner at the language and attempting to learn as much about the country before a recent visit, I enjoyed using this volume to both practice the language and learn some things about France. Great way to go. Good used purchase.

This is great though it is not for beginner French. Its exercises enable some research and further study by pupils so really good for AS level.

Still a good bunch of history and civilization that doesn't change but a lot of old pictures and outdated information.

J'ai acheté ce livre sans faire attention à la date de publication.....quelle erreur! toute la partie politique est obsolète. Mais pas seulement; la plupart des données chiffrées également bien sûr.A surtout ne pas acheter!

Der Vorteil dieses Landeskunde-Heftes ist, dass es auf Französisch ist, d.h. man eben die passenden französischen Begriffe darin findet. Allerdings macht es in Summe ein eher veralteten Eindruck. Mich hat es nicht überzeugt, aber man findet zu allen Themen (Politik, Geographie, Schulsystem...) mindestens eine kleine Seite. Manchmal auch gute Zusammenfassungen, z.B. zu der Geschichte der dt.-franz. Geschichte. Für Schüler ist es sicher eine Bereicherung, aber für die UNi oder gar Examensvorbereitung fand ich es persönlich für den Preis nicht ansprechend genug (Aufmachung, Design) und auch zu knapp. Für den Überblick ist es sicher ganz ok.
