Curls my hard-to-curl hair!
I like this Joyyum brush dryer better than my similar Babyliss hair dryer because it has a smaller diameter brush attachment which (at this time) the Babyliss does not offer. Anyway, my hair is fine, stick-straight and hard to curl. When I have gotten it to curl, it hasn't usually held the curl for long. So when this Joyyum dryer arrived, I used the smaller diameter brush attachment and I used a mousse that got high ratings for holding a curl, called Osis+, which supposedly is "extra strength". After using the Joyum, the ends of my hair finally have a good, strong, curl! Here are some things I noticed about the Joyyum dryer: The bristles really grab the hair, so to get it to release your hair from a curled position, you need to hit the button for the opposite rotation, so the spin is reversed and lets go of the hair. I like the way the buttons are designed better than on the Babyliss, because it has the "cool" setting near the bottom, then it goes to low and then high heat. However, in the case of all hair dryers, I much prefer the "cool" setting to be a separate button! It's too hard to find the "cool" setting with the brush curled into your hair, and trying to manipulate the slider while the brush is embedded in your hair is a pain. Manufacturers, please make a separate "cool button", next to the other settings, but separate from those buttons. Then we don't have to try to find the setting we were previously on after we are done with the cool shot. I'd like to hit the cool button, then immediately resume the high heat or whatever. This brush also rotates slower than the Babyliss, and this slower speed on the Joyyum is just right. So my favorite thing about this Joyyum is the smaller diameter head, which enables me to curl my fine, straight hair. I hope this device lasts, and I've only had it one day so I do not know it's longevity yet.

Hair looks great, handle not too ergonomic
This HotAir Spin dryer is a good product. Doesn’t look or feel cheap. Practice using it to get the feel and look you want. There is definitely a learning curve. I have medium length, fine hair and got better results starting with wet (towel dried) hair. I tried drying my hair slightly first like some of the reviewers, but it made my hair look dry, frizzy & fly-away i.e. staticky. This has made my hair look and feel the best it’s ever been since I moved to the Florida Panhandle. I can now have shiny & smooth hair! (I spray it with humidity control hairspray when finished styling) I had resolved myself to eternal bad hair days/nights, but now I’m so happy with how my hair looks on days/nights I want to style it.But there are a few negatives for me are:1) Wish it came with a smaller roller. I thought the one on it when I took it out of the box was the large roller...but the larger one in my opinion can only be used by people with longer, thick hair.2) The handle is too large (around) for anyone who has smaller hands, weak hands/fingers or arthritis. I’ve had several hand surgeries and my hand becomes weak & painful...mostly due to having to hold down the brush/roller directional spinning button while using.3) The handle is also too long because you have to hold it right under where the spinning brush connects, where the arrow directional spinning button is.But...with the results I get using this spinning brush air dryer I’m more pleased than not and give my hand breaks while using it.If the company/manufacturer would add a slightly smaller brush, make the handle a little thinner (or have a gripped indent that’s thinner) and shorten the handle it would be more ergonomic. Or make a smaller model with smaller brushes.

Did not exceed my expectations
I only used this product once, and I am more on the disappointed side, but I will use again to see if this is really worth keeping. The air styler is a bit bulky, but not overly complicated to hold and use. It dries your hair very fast.I am disappointed because a lot of reviews had said this would look like a salon blow out. I do feel like my hair has been blown out, but it did not blow out my hair very well. That is why I will be giving this another shot, to really see if it's the product's fault or my fault for how my hair turned out.I also have a very bad iron and my first impression of doing my hair with this air styler is that my hair looked exactly like how my hair does when I use my iron. And that is disappointing for me because I though this would make my hair so much better.I also feel that my hair came out a bit frizzy after drying it. I used the Loreal heat protection and no frizz product before I started blow drying but I do not think it worked. Also, the Loreal product made my hair feel a bit too shiny, which I hope does not look oily.I gave this 3 stars because of my initial impression of this, but I will use this product again to see if I get different results. If I don't, I will return it. If it turn out I just did not do a great job with it, I will update my review.

Pretty good, but poor craftsmanship
I would actually rate it a 3.5:Overall it is a good product if you don’t feel like spending $80 for a tool you’re not sure will be used much or good for you.Thin hair? GO FOR IT!!Medium/thick? It’ll work wellSoft curls? It’ll work, but this is not a heavy duty tool for everyday useCurly/coily hair? This is not for you :(My hair is medium length, and is wavy/thick. Although it worked very well with my hair, I would not recommend it for someone with curly/coily hair. I assume I would’ve done my hair faster, but I stopped a couple of times (I’m chatty and everyone was in my room haha). The concept of it is definitely a plus, my arms did not tire as they do when I blow dry my hair, so I loved that. The rotation is a bit tricky, but easy to get a hang of. My biggest concern is that it gives me the impression it’s durability is about the same of a Conair $20 straightener, and will probably burn out within 3-6 months for someone like me (heavy user of styling tools).

No more brush and flat iron !
This is my best none plan purchase of the year. Heres why:1. I have caucasian medium hair. It works perfectly for my type of hair. It blow dies my hair + brush them + iron them. Since i am very lazy i am saving a lot of time and my hair are perfect for my taste (i do not do brushing with my hair since i am lazy and anyway the head brush would be too big for that).2. i have very small hands (kids size) and im am not that stong so the hot air brush size is perfect, and it is not as heavy as a blow dryer.3. ITS QUICK.4. it is noisy but not as loud as my blow dryer.5. Perfect result and smooth hair.
