Praise Box Set

First, I purchased two of this product simultaneously from THE CHAPEL STORE !!!! I just have to give this Seller what they are due A VERY GREAT REVIEW and MOUNDS OF THANKS. From beginning to end, The Chapel Store made this purchase remarkable smooth and pleasant. NOW FOR the Cd Set of 7. AHhhhhh ! Maranatha Days are truly here again. From the first Cd of "first time Calvary Chapel Days to the Cd Praise 7, my heart just swelled to hear the simplicity of lyrics, the right balance of instruments, and the calming, inspiring voices of the original Maranatha singers bless me again. From Evie Carlson, To Kelly Willard, To Morris Chapman, etc., etc., I closed my eyes and was transported back to the early days of my very new, fresh salvation in The Lord Jesus Christ. These originals singers and music are the hallmark for today's "praise music". I'm so happy most of us are not "throwing out the baby with the bath water." I not only highly recommend this set but this Seller. I hope you'll enjoy what the original praise music was designed to do. Get the believer to enjoy his/her Savior, reflect on the Words of Scripture, and just "come away...."

When I came to faith, Maranatha! had just released Praise 2. Shortly after my conversion, I bought the album and understood, probably for the first time, what Worship was. Every song ministered to my soul. So when I heard that Maranatha! had released the first 7 Praise albums on CD, and at an affordable price, I couldn't wait for it to get here. Worship music is now a standard at most Christian Churches, but before that, small groups and ministries released various praise albums, Scripture set to music. Agape Force was probably the best known, but there were other smaller groups releasing music. This wasn't a coincidence because the same thing was happening in Canada and England. Maranatha! was that 'group of Jesus Freaks out of Costa Mesa' in 1970. The overall package is professional, yet personal. The first 2 Praise albums are simple in nature, save for the orchestration. Praise 3 shifted from that format with shorter songs but the same spirit with easy to sing praise choruses. Praise 4, In His Time, was written by a lady from No CA, near where I was then living from a small community of believers, combining both elements of simplicity and semi-corporate worship. Volumes 5-7 follow the same format, and you'll find your favorites as you revisit this collection time and time again!

I purchased this mainly for Praise 4 album, but was delighted to discover one of my favorite new Maranatha tracks. It is "Holy Place" which is on Disc 7. I've listened to that dozens of times.

I am so happy to get this on CD! I have several of these records, so it's nice to be able to listen to them all again. It's wonderful praise & Worship music that started during the Jesus Music Movement. Enjoy praising our Lord!

This box set is great! Back in the 70's I had a couple of the vinyl records from Maranatha Singers, but lost them when I moved locations. Recently I was searching for the same music I fondly remembered. This set has many of the songs that I loved, and the set of 7 CDs is a great bargain. If you're looking for soothing and uplifting praise music from a different era, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Original series released as complete set! (vol 1-7). A great find!

Almost in tears....to hear again the praise music from my salvation church of many years ago. This is the original music transferred to CD. Absolutely nothing to complain about with this purchase. I Highly recommend this to everyone.
