If you get the little package don’t worry they grow! Wow do they grow! They grow and grow. The candy cane I used made them pink. Use plastic. Ok so trial and error. My shells were too heavy and sank to the bottom. I would suggest buying the items made to put in them. Some other things I used were too light and kept popping up. I should give up on crafting! LOL but these things are COOL when done right!

First time using these. I wanted to use for an indoor plant. I added bottled distilled water to hopefully keep mold off a little bit longer. I started with a smaller bowl but realized my mistake when they started to grow. They stay pretty small but compared to their original size I would say they did as they were supposed to. I started to play with them and realized that the growth speeded up. They also grew faster when put in a wider dish so they had room to spread out. When pull hands out they left a slimy residue behind. I was curious as to what made of and the only thing I could find was polyacrylamide ( a polymer). I guess this stuff is same stuff used in make- up and other things in the U.S. It's not regulated in the U.S. but is in the U.K. due to if this breaks down it breaks down to acrylamide which is carcinogenic. Well, not sure if this accurate, but if anyone else has more info, I would so appreciate learning more. This stuff is amazing and fun, but I would definitely like to be sure that it's really safe like it's written on product description. I recieved two tiny bags and only used one to fill both different size bowls.

These little gyms cane in two very small packages, and without any instructions whatsoever. Beware if your looking at these, and hopefully I’ll get them to do what I want by reading other reviews

I originally I wrote: I am hoping that they will work. I am hoping to avoid the mosquito larva from hatching in my bamboo shoots. Also, I am going to try to germinate seeds in these crystals. It will be awesome if it works.They do prevent the mosquito larva, but they are very small. The picture left the impression that they would be larger. Having said that my bamboo shoots are doing fine. I add water to the bottom of the vases but the beads prevent mosquitos from landing on them and laying eggs.

I was placing an amazon order and as I needed water beads for my container gardens for the summer I purchased these to save myself a trip to the garden center. Too expensive for what you get, and sadly I do not think these are plant safe as many of the plants died. Have never had this happen before. The beads definitely swelled when water was added, but cost wise, these were over 15 times more expensive than the ones I usually purchase. Would not recommend this product nor would I purchase these again.

Used for wedding. In the vases, it just added some extra extra for the centerpieces. Love it. Still have one unopened bag. Comes with 2 bags. One bag filled 12 centrepieces halfway up the vase.

This was what I was looking for to complete my Christmas center piece. Also the price was very reasonable. It happened to be late on delivery so I contacted the seller and they were very helpful and assured that this item was only going to be a couple days late and they were right. The seller was great in his quick response to this matter.

I added water to the crystals as it says on the description, It's not rocket science but it did not come with instructions.Even after letting it sit for 2 days the beads did not grow to the 9-11mm size as stated.

Les billes sont ultra petite et reste tres petites meme une fois gonflé... cest bien inscrit bille pour l'eau mais une fois leau ajouté ca ne ce confond pas leffet translucides nest pas efficaces ont y vois les billes et toute les demarcations entre chacunes d'elles.
