Knight Rider 2010 The Movie [DVD]

Definitely a must see for a die hard Knight Rider franchise fan!
I recently purchased this edition of Knight Rider 2010 on DVD and it is an absolute must see for die hard Knight Rider fans! I first saw this film on the website YouTube several years ago and has since been taken down by them. I was able to order this film on Amazon and it was worth it. The story and plot is Mad Max esque but the Knight Rider technologies that exist in an alternate style for this film are worth it to see. One of the absolute best technological prosthesis was Hannah's character being transferred to the Prism crystal unit for the adapted hybrid Mustang car and being its AI with Jake McQueen driving it. And when Hannah takes control of the Mustang and takes the model out for a drive- its really cool to see a female Knight Rider alternate character be the AI system to the car. And Hannah's personality with it- AWESOME! She really owns it! For being an alternate style plot- its really good that Universal Pictures incorporates the different locations as well as the different vehicles and technologies featured in this film as well. One aspect is that Los Angeles is now a city in an area called "The Dome" where standard vehicle combustion engines are illegal. That's creative- but it would also kinda bite if it existed in the real world. One of my favorite characters is the Mechanic's character that has all the collectable cars in his junkyard that are in really immaculate condition- but knows a lot about how to put a vehicle of this franchise's type together very well. I know that the Mustang featured in this movie is very different from the Knight Rider 2008 continuation Ford Shelby Mustang that KITT (the Knight Industries Three Thousand) was but this car featured here was able to hold its own. The different characters participate in a really good story that goes well- not your typical plot line- but the creativity is there. This is really worth it to see- sorry if my review doesn't describe much- I really can not go into too much else without really spoiling it- that's how good this is! Also- the DVD is region 2- I would buy a DVD player that is region 1 and 2 or region free at best. If you only have a standard region 1- this DVD will not play. Also- even though it is just a basic movie copy- the sound track is a small bit better and clearer I think than the way we process our region 1 DVDs here in the United States. If you get the chance to- see this and add it to your Knight Rider collection! You won't regret it.

Great Movie!
Great movie! The DVD quality is great (sound and video). Haven't seen this since it came out on TV in the early 90's. Couldn't find it anywhere. This is for region 2 but just had to change region on my BD player on laptop and connect to TV and watch. It has almost nothing to do with original Knight Rider show but I think that's what the idea behind the Action Pack movies from the early 90's was, to make these 'made for TV movies' based off of real movies and have similar but different stories . My favorites were Bandit, Midnight Run, and Knight Rider (wish they made more than one TV movie for it though).

Knight Rider rocks.
I loved the DVD and the DVD is so good so good in fact that I watched it over and over and over again and it works really well in my portable DVD player and yes I do live in the United States and I was surprised that it work to my portable DVD player even though I live in the United States.

Happy with it
Bought this for my husband's birthday. He loved it. He needed a new copy because the one we had the kids got ahold of and broke

It is let down by the visuals and a little dodgy camera work, otherwise, not bad... spoilers coming
So I spotted someone gave this 1 star, read her review and wandered if she even watched the whole series, or just part of an episode and didnt like, certainly wasnt describing the overall series which, as is continues, draws you in after the pilot episode.Question is, do we call it a remake when in reality, it actually continues on years later?Spoiler: Pilot Episode, YES we do see Michael Knight (The Hoff briefly in a scene with the lead character, who is actually Michael Knights son and becomes the reason why Mike then takes on his father mantle and name of Michael Knight... So Ms whatever your name is, watch is properly, the story is there. And Yes later on FLAG is revived. However, agreeing, most of it does seem to take place in desert regions, but then, thats a vast area of America anyway I guess, some of the stories are pretty good. What let the series down was the green screening and the filming in confined areas, fair enough this was during an experimental time when cameras were just getting smaller at a higher frame rate with crystal clear quality.Overall, it does have a spot on the shelf with the other boxed sets, it's not as bad as I thought it might be, it was axed too soon perhaps, but who knows, these concepts do have a tendency to creep back.
