I am enjoying this Fake book. The arrangements are very nice if you are able to improvise and add your accompaniment to the melodies. I have a great time doing that and no two times are ever exactly the same. Love the bigger notes also. It is easy to see in all lights. I would definitely recommend it.

I have purchased several of the Easy Books! Love them all! great for beginners and for someone looking for a baseline to add their own spin to!

Got this book today, and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! The songs are so simply presented and easy to play. One of the best music books I have!! Glad I bought this.

I am a 39-yr old mom who stopped playing the church organ/keyboards for 20++ years. I only had basic knowledge, and very simple skills as I only had a year of studying under my belt =) just enough to play a few pieces every now and then.Having said that, you can probably tell what kind of music sheets I prefer. This is that book! I LOVE That this gives me several pieces to play and STILL sound like the song! Some pieces are a bit complex for me, but I still LOVe it as it gives me enough challenge to at least up my playing despite the long hiatus. My 8-yr old and 6-yr old who just started taking lessons a few months ago started reading notes (so I assume they would jump over me in a few months) :) We love this! I haven't gone over the other songs yet, but I have been playing a few Christmas songs already and I am sooooo getting hyped about that. 5 stars!!!

If you can make up your own music by having a melody line with chords above, then you will love this book. It DOES NOT include full notation for those that need that. I wish it was spiral bound. It does have a gap on the binding that allows you to fold it pretty flat, but still had issues with it closing up on me. However, it's new.As far as songs, I'm glad it has so many common Christmas tunes, but I will say that just because you get 100, quite are few are, "What the heck song IS this?" for me. They must be known to someone and at least you have some filler music for that 3-hour christmas set.If you are also a SINGER, as other reviews have mentioned, the key of C is not the best. It's right in that range of too high and too low. At least for me. I would say this is great for instrumental melody playing. Key of C makes it very easy. Just remember, if you don't like making up your own music with chords above melody lines, do not get this one!

This book may start with the iconic favorites, but then gives you so much more. I play for the residents in the private retirement village in which I work. When I brought out the first set of lyric sheets I'd made they were amazed. Imagine the fun they had learning, "Gramma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" . Oh, yeah, you want not only THIS book. In fact, if you haven't played for awhile or if you play chords better than two staff music, this is an awesome way to get back to EASILY tickling the ivories you may have long ago given up on. I own five of Hal Leonard's collection and I not only use them at work, but, hey, I gotta practice at home at first, right? Give yourself a gift. GET 'EM ALL. But start with Christmas. I would say to the Hal Leonard Co, though, that I wish they would publish them with spiral bindings so they stay open. I always go to FedEx and have the spines cut off and the spiral bindings added for another $5. But its worth it.

I love this book. I can't play very well, still and old person learning new things, but I can play with the right hand most of the songs in this book. I just love Christmas music, and I will sit for an hour, several times a day and play a few tunes out of this book. I find it easier to try to play a tune I have heard before so this book is great. I am just learning to use the left hand with cords, so still taking time. but I know most of the cords used in this book, and it is really helpful.

Fabulous book for anyone who celebrates Christmas, who loves to sing or play instrument. Huge selection of popular songs make it perfect gift. I have purchased 10 of them along with the other book of similar character: The Easy Disney Fake Book (INSTRUMENTS EN) and gave it as a gift to the kids in the extended family. I have heard that they all enjoyed the set and the parents were truly grateful for this book as they were searching for something like this and could not find anything anywhere near as great.
