Loyal Companion is modeled on a young lad with autism who loves science and is a bit space-mad. I’ve seen some criticism about reinforcement of stereotypes for people with autism, but it is very important to remember that this doll was based on an actual 8 year old boy and is therefore representative of his individual experience at a specific period of time in his life.Although this is the first boy doll that I’ve gotten from the range, it appears to be the same doll mould as Kite Flyer Finn (but someone please correct me in the comments if there are subtle differences that I’m missing).Like their other dolls, Loyal Companion has some limited articulation and can bend at the knee, can turn and slightly tilt his head, and can raise his arms out to the sides and above his head.Other than the typical disappointment at the lack of anything even hinting at anatomical correctness, I think that this is a pretty nice representation of a little boy.

I like the concept of the doll and ordered the astronaut costumer also. The outfits and all the cute parts are adorable, but unfortunately they are hard to get on and off the doll. The packaging is subpar. All parts including doll are almost impossible to release. Adult supervision is a must which is sad. Brand should consider frustration-free packaging and a case or bag to store all the accessories, doll and outfits.

A quality toy that will be a hit with children and adults. The price may seem a bit high but you get what you pay for. These are quality dolls with realistic proportions. They remind me of vintage Skipper and Francie dolls only better. Their limbs have more range of motion and hair that resists tangles. They have a range of skin tones and hair texture/color as well. The clothing is made from different fabrics that resemble real clothing in feel and make. The accessories are detailed as well. You will not be disappointed.

I guess the high price is for a cause. But we were unaware about it. With all due respect it needs to be mentioned clearly in the description.

I have gifted my two granddaughters eight Lottie Dolls already, and intend to get them a few more for Christmas now, as they love them so much! They play with them every single day, changing their outfits pretending they go to work, etc. I highly recommend them!

It broke after two weeks

These dolls are great but was disappointed to find this not as illustrated . Was expecting a larger box with the doll wearing a logo tee shirt as shown in thr description with the blue suit as extra in box. Came in box same size as most Lotties and therefore not value for the extra money I had paid but unfortunately no time for me to return this doll as was required for gift. Otherwise I always love these dolls and the children I buy them for love them too.

Brilliant as are all the lottie dolls. I wish they were a little less expensive. But my granddaughter loves them so much I won’t stop buying them. More offers would be great.

Ho comprato questo maschietto per fare compagnia a una portiere che già possedeva mia figlia. Il prodotto è inconfondibile, ben fatto, si presenta esattamente come in foto. Arriva corredato di cagnolina con bandana e guinzaglio, cuffie, tuta della nasa con sneakers abbinate, occhiali da sole, jeans, maglietta e sneakers abbinate; i vestiti sono di ottima fattura e facili da fare indossare alla bambola. Nella scatola è presente anche un foglietto (scritto solo in inglese) dove c'è la foto di un bimbo molto somigliante alla bambola e dove viene spiegato in maniera molto chiara e "leggera" che cos'è l'autismo. A mia figlia è piaciuto molto, ama moto questa linea di bambole perché sono più maneggevoli della classica misura Barbie e riesce a portarle con sé in una borsetta. L'ho comprato ad un ottimo prezzo 16€+2€ di spedizione da un terzo rivenditore che ha eseguito anche la spedizione: la scatola è arrivata un po'ammaccata perché era stata avvolta in una busta di quelle rivestite in pluriball, ma quando abbiamo aperto la busta, abbiamo avuto la sorpresa di trovare la scatola incartata con carta da regalo, benché non lo avessi richiesto è stato un gesto carino. I tempi di consegna sono stati rispettati. Consigliatissimo!

I love the lottie doll collection, and like how their bodies are shaped more in line with how real kid bodies are proportioned. And I like that they come as boys and girls and different ethnicities and so on... but this one has really weird hair and I had to trim it myself to look less awkward. As an aside: I would really love if they would come out with a greater variety of body shapes, too. I know that may not be realistic from a production efficiency standpoint but wouldn't it be great to have shorter and taller and larger and smaller proportioned dolls?! Anyway, I think they're on the right track here (minus the weird hair on this guy! haha).
