Tastes amazing, seems to work without jitters
First of all, these TASTE AMAZEBALLS!!! If you love dark chocolate and mint as I do, you will absolutely love these!! I would buy these just as a chocolate treat! The portion is PERFECT, as is the consistency. I would compare this to Ghirardelli, no kidding!!Efficacy on staying awake: First, NO JITTERS! I have not tried these but about 4-5 times as I am trying to make them last due to the high cost. The very first time I consumed these I can confidently say that it worked exactly as described. The second, I THINK so. The problem is, I'm not so sure I am a good example of whether or not this works. I am in menopause, suffer from insomnia in general, and thanks to that sorry excuse for a POTUS and the global viral pandemic that is currently plaguing the planet, I am also under a great deal of stress which causes extreme fatigue to begin with. Oh, did I mention I am also a fulltime accounting student?! Yah, that will exhaust ANYONES brain, thus the reason why I purchased these. Also, because I am a regular, if not chronic coffee drinker, therefore I do not doubt I have developed caffeine sensitivity. Despite what it SOUNDS like, this means that caffeine has LESS of an effect on me. If I were to give up coffee for a few days or a week, I THINK this product would work very well, but I really don't know. I will say, that when I consumed TWO the third or fourth time I ate them I think they DID work. Overall, I would buy these again despite the high price and do suggest you give them a try and please review them as I am dying to know how well or poorly they work on others. Stay safe, be kind and wash your hands everyone.

It works great!
Very happy with this caffeinated chocolate. It hits the spot for the desire for chocolate and the quick pick me up during the day.

Tastes like regular chocolate, and has an ok amount of caffeine. Pretty good!
I’m not gonna sing the praises of this product, but I am gonna cut to the fat; it’s a good one.I’m a college student, and a caffeine fiend (Coffee, tea, energy drinks, the like), so I like trying new things. I got a bar of this at a local shop, and I was surprised. It tastes… well, like regular milk chocolate. It melts well in your mouth, but in your bag it won’t melt nearly as fast (I think it’s cause it’s a thicker piece? Not Tony Chocolonely thick, but it’s sturdy), and… it’s not ambrosia, but I was surprised it tasted like regular chocolate.I don’t think this is a good replacement for a morning coffee, cause A) it’s a piece of candy, and B) it has about 50 mg of caffeine per piece, which… yeah, is about the equivalent to half a cup of drip coffee (which is about 90-ish mg per 8 Oz cup), so eating two would equate to the obvious. I think this is better for during or after lunch, before your 3 pm drawl. It’s a nice treat that can help perk you up, help you feel a bit better after a long day, I think it should be treated as that, rather than a coffee replacement.HERE’S THE NEGATIVE BIT:BUT the bigger issue I feel is important is that they don’t say where they source their cocoa from, and it doesn’t say if it’s fair trade or not on their website. It only says that their product is “made from ethically sourced, common-to-market cocoa processed by some of the largest suppliers in the world.” I feel that it could be clarified more. It doesn’t take from the product itself, but if you’re a more scrupulous shopper or care about this, I would be wary.

The best idea ever
I tried these one day at work out of the vending machine, & for the last 3 months I've been hooked. I work overnights & getting through a 10hr shift can be a bit difficult when you're constantly on your feet. I take 2 in my lunch, along with a couple Red Bulls, but typically I'll only need one to help get me through the shift.

Great product and great Customer Service too!
Similarly to another reviewer I also got a box of Dark Chocolate Mint flavored bites and found a few of them had some wrapper damage. As I took a closer look it seemed clear to me (thanks to watching many "How Its Made" shows) that the wrappers probably were damaged as part of the manufacturing process. I documented the issue I had and sent off an email to AWAKE's customer service team. They thanked me for reaching out to them and have sent me a replacement box!The chocolates themselves are great! I love mint and chocolate, the pairing here is subtle and well balanced. The bite itself is kinda thick and a little tough for me to bite through initially, so I just pop the whole thing in my mouth and wait a sec or two for it to start melting... I think its a good problem to have (I don't want less chocolate)I usually take my caffeine via Mountain Dew but wanted something with fewer potential carcinogens in it... AWAKE Chocolate bites to the rescue! I feel the same kick start of energy as I did with dew... maybe even more so!Thanks again for a great product!

Not right
3 stars bc they're freakin delicious and I love them but I have to say - I gobble a few of these down and a couple just tasted sort of off. Upon closer inspection of others, some of them came in the box with their wrappers open!!!! Not sure if this was a manufacturing thing or what, the box was taped shut and looked like it could have been opened but it usually has some tape on it anyway (i've gotten these before). There seemed to be extra wrapping on some of the wrappers hanging off and I really want to believe nothing has been tampered with, especially since I already ate a bunch. It's hard to tell if they were opened by a person or maybe ripped open naturally by themselves while being jostled around in delivery. The ones that I've eaten since that have been fully wrapped with no tears tasted fine, and I guess I will just throw out the ones that have tears. Sort of alarming
