The immediate flavor is reminiscent of a good meat or vegetable chili then a wonderful heat that leaves the flavor of chili and a hint of sweetness. Definitely versatile and can be used with so much variety including chili, meat, vegan dishes and vegetables. This might actually be an interesting addition for something like chocolate or popcorn.Gringo Bandito Super Hot - Dances with TastebudsThis is another hot sauce with a wonderful flavor and the first reaction being the ghost pepper heat followed by a marinated mild onion flavor. Very mild sweetness which adds to the overall flavor and would be a great addition for meals that need some extra character. If brave enough, try a small spoonful to get an undiluted taste of a not-so-complex hot sauce.

I heard about Gringo Bandito on a Podcast when Dexter Holland, the creator (and lead singer of the band "The Offspring"!) talked about it. He worked for years on perfecting it with a friend from South America. My husband has tried tons of these hot sauces, but most burn his tongue, lips, and his eyes tear up. I surprised him with this and Amazon had it, of course! (We also love The Offspring, so the backstory was fun). Gringo Bandito (original) is now my husband's absolute favorite - he puts it on everything! It has FLAVOR with a kick, but not enough to make him run for ice water. It's not in stores that I saw (Dexter mentioned he prefers word of mouth to a big Marketing campaign) - so I'm spreading the word. TRY IT! IT'S AWESOME!
