Yes it does have a see through protective cover. My granddaughter holds it up to her face. She loves the vibartion

Thank you for your question, No, you can release it and it continues going, to turn off, press again and release.

Can they put it in the wand mouth?

Well it’s from China so no guarantee on it being non-toxic. And the mechanism is I am sure not moisture resistant so depending on how much saliva there is it might affect it. But if they’re only putting their mouth on the globe part I can’t see there being any problem with that.

How do i charge this? Or how do i change batteries?

At the bottom you can change batteries.They are regular batteries no charging.Its a simple light up toy but its looks awesom my grandson loves it.
