Hours Waisted/Very Disappointing
After running wires, adding an outlet (because who already has one close to where something like this goes) then trying to navigate their website and app, I've given up.The installation actually wasn't that bad. It's time consuming but I expected it knowing I'd have to do some wiring to keep everything neat and tidy. The issues I found started after powering up. The QR code they give in the installation booklet leads to a dead link, "404 error ". I had to manually look for their website. Once there I type in the product number on the box. "Product not found ". I go to Google store to look for app. Checks out. Try to register. Enter "phone/email. I enter email. Invalid entery. I try phone number. "Unable to send verification code". Of course I tried these steps several times. Now I have to undo the install. This one's going back to Amazon. This was the most frustrating install I've ever done. They claim it's "easy installation" but I found nothing about it even remotely easy. I'd love to tell you how it worked once I connected but it never happened.I'd recommend spending a little more and go with a better known brand.

Good signal range as a repeater, reached 200ft/70meters away!
So far so good. Using this to boost a satellite wifi across my acreage and replacing 2 hotspots that were in use. Setup was a bit slow, and leds on the device were difficult to see but once the signal came up it was easy to get working and looks like it can take the weather. Signal worked well through cabin walls and through an old farm house 200 ft away. It can work as an access point with a ethernet plug too, the POE adapter has another port to be hard wired if you don't want to use wifi.Once the spring storms come up and the heat of summer hits I'll update this review again if it holds up.

Works well with only one glitch
I had some issues setting it up and called WaveLink tech support. That was a scam. In order to get it to work they said I had to buy a firewall protection software in order to get the extender to work. I checked with my internet provider and they told me I didn't need it to get the extender to work. He showed me how to get my IP address and it wasn't what they were trying to use. Once I had the IP address I was able to access the setup program and it was a few steps and it was working great. Don't call wavelink tech support.

Can't make it work
I tried everything I know. It was getting a good signal to it but nothing was getting through. Read the other reviews and they are much smarter than I am with this stuff. Had to send it back.

Too easy to set up!
Honestly I tormented over buying a wifi extender and finally got this one. I have not regretted getting this unit once. I was unaware that it did retransmission, access point & converting wifi to cable... started setting it up for the converting wifi to cabled, but my router tanked (it was almost 20 years old...) so tried the retransmission function and it went smoother than i could've hoped. In my opinion, you will not regret buying this outdoor access point.

Living in RV park
RV parks are notoriously poor for their Wi-Fi connections. My daughters boyfriend convinced me to purchase this item. They help me set it up which is the most difficult part of it. Since that time I have been able to watch Wi-Fi TV and receive Internet most of the time. I did put it on top of my trailer and connect it to my antenna because inside the trailer it was mediocre

Wroked for less than a year
It broke in a rain storm. I had it for less than a year. Must have gotten moisture inside and shorted out. The network/power cable had scorch marks.I replaced the cable, and it just shorts out the power supply. It was protected from the afternoon and evening sun. (Phoenix AZ) It was fine through monsoon season, but last night we got a little rain. My son complained that the wifi in the RV (the reason we needed an extender) was out. I investigated and found that the cable had moisture and the device was no longer working.Sad for an outdoor antenna to go out in the way.I will be getting a replacement, but will try my luck with a different vendor.
