Its a nice and compact ash-valid vacuum cleaner and performs well. Only caveat is that I feel its less powerful than more conventional vacuum cleaners. Maybe its common to all ash vacuum cleaners...

Lovely and light weight. Brilliant suction does the job with no mess.The only downside is that there's no crevice tool with it. But I just use my vacuum one even though it's not a good fit, but because the ash vac has such a great suction it still sucks up all the dust from the ash.

Item arrived in good condition . Suctoon was good, but Unfortunately the tube was very brittle and split apart after only one month of use.

We bought this ash vacuum cleaner about four weeks ago after reading the mixed reviews it had been given but took a chance with it. Previously we had a second hand Henry Hoover (bagged) so this is not a fair comparison but I have to say I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone! It has a blow and suction port at the top of the machine, not sure of the reason why it has a blow port on this machine as it is way too strong for blowing out hard to get to ash within your fireplace/stove. All it succeeds in doing is blowing a ash cloud around your room! Be careful when using this machine, if you stand/kneel over it when cleaning you are blasted by the air being blown out of the blow port, there is no way of turning off/down this function! Also where the handle attaches into the top of the machine there is the smallest of gaps which leaks air, again depending on which way you have this machine positioned you risk ash being blown all over your room.THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS VACUUM CLEANER ARE -The plug and lead are way too short.The hose is way too shortIt has no attachments for hard to clean corners (nozzles).The filter clogs far too quicklyIt looses suction due to the filter clogging far too quicklyLeaks air by the handle so can cause ash to be blown around your room.The blow port can catch you out when vacuuming.THE POSITIVES -None reallyIt’s cheapSuction is good only when the filter is clean but it clogs far too quickly.Save your money and buy a lower priced bagged vacuum cleaner (not a upright model but the “pull along” type) Amazon have one for about £45. This is an actual vacuum cleaner, not one designed specifically for fires but with it having a bag to catch all the ash and cinders it should not clog. It will work just like the Henry range of hoovers but a whole lot cheaper, it is an Amazon entry level model. With it being an actual vacuum cleaner it will have a longer lead, a longer hose, tools and is small and compact so it is about the same size and weight as this ash vacuum cleaner. There are other models out there at this price range so you just need to shop around but DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.Hope this helps

Saves a lot of time n mess but does need emptying regularly to unblock filter

I use this vac for cleaning out my log burner, it’s a great powerful product
