After 1 use...
I'm a weekend BBQ warrior, Of course, I wanted to buy a $450 industrial meat grinder that would grind a whole buffalo bones and all in 10 min, but I'm on a budget, and I don't need that. I can't imagine ever needing to grind more than 10 pounds of meat and this one says 184 pounds per hour, so I'm good.I just made 4 1/2 pounds of sausage using this grinder to grind the meat, I stuffed it with a vevor stufferThe Good:The Grinder looks nice! It was easy to assemble, the motor seemed strong and it worked quickly and easily, and did not overheat at all.The Meh:1. The metal parts are made from aluminum so they can't go in the dishwasher so I had to hand wash.2. The stuffer is a piece of cheap plastic, they should have stepped it up a little.Take note:I put some ice cubes through after the meat to push the meat through and help start the cleaning, The Grinder stopped working, and I thought oh well that's what I get with a lower-priced grinder, but there was a reset button on the bottom and it came right back to life. All the sausage-making videos and websites suggest putting the metal parts of your grinder in the freezer and grinding almost frozen meat, I did this, and the grind was great, it didn't overheat or smear the fat. All the metal was still cold after I ground the meatSo after 1 use, Im very happy with this unit especially for the price. If you're not grinding a whole animal, bones, or tons of meat and need something much better than a KitchenAid attachment. this grinder was a winner

Thoughts on grinding chicken bones
This replaces a grinder that abruptly stopped in the middle of making a batch of cat food. That old one was, I think, this one with different branding: https://www.amazon.com/Sunmile-SM-G50-Powerful-Stainless-Attachments/dp/B005EPJAT8?ref_=ast_sto_dpThat old one was much more of a beast than this one: larger, more powerful, and so on. So I was concerned that the new one wouldn't be up to the job. But I just finished that interrupted batch of cat food, and I have no complaints. It did very well. Here's my reflection on grinding chicken bones: I think that the old grinder (which had fed my cats for eight years, so I got my money's worth in any case) failed because I pressed down with the pusher when it hit a bone. With the new grinder, I was more gentle because I wasn't sure if it had the power for the job. When it hit a bone, I used the pusher to prevent the bone from popping back up but didn't exert any downward pressure. I think this was the right thing to have done. The machine has enough under the hood to grind a chicken thigh bone but sometimes the bone hits the screw wrong and doesn't go in. All you need to do is make it keep trying to find the right entry. You don't need to force it in. Forcing it may jam the screw, and by that sin fell my old grinder.Update, January 25, 2024: I have got one problem with this machine. After the work is done, it is difficult to disassemble. The grinding part comes off the engine easily, but the ring that holds the pieces in place within the grinding part sticks. I have to soak the whole thing in warm water for half an hour or so before I can get it off.

High Quality Meat Grinder for Home Use
I selected the Sunmile Model G-73 Electric Meat Grinder after doing some research on quality meat grinders for home use. I was looking for a fine German, Swiss or American made product sold here at Amazon. But, the selection of these manufactures were limited and of those they offered,(especially the American brands), most were the lower-end meat grinders. I definitely wanted to avoid one made in China as most of the products produced there are known to be junk. Surprisingly, I found that this is not so with everything made in China. My research showed that the Guangzhou Sunmile Industries Co. Ltd of China have been producing quality meat grinders and other small appliances for their domestic and world market for two decades and currently do $100 Million sales in the US. They rely on word-of-mouth advertizing and use only quality parts assembled by highly skilled technicians' using the most modern manufacturing equipment and techniques. So, I was won over because of this and the fact that they met my requirements which necessitated a grinder of at least 1.5 HP. I also wanted a hefty and durable motor that was UL rated at least 600 Watts or better. The powerful motor used in the Sunmile Model G-73 is capable of producing up to 1200 Watts maximum power... way more than usually needed for home use. There are smaller electric meat grinders available, and indeed, Sunmile also makes these smaller units. But, the larger capacity motor of the G-73, I think, ensures a long useful life of the product. The Sunmile meat grinders all feature big gears and gearbox to overcome resistance from the pressures of grinding meats of all types. It also has a reverse function to back off or prevent clogging. As with most high quality appliances, all their models also feature a safety switch (emergency cutoff) and a circuit breaker to prevent motor burnout. You won't find this feature in a lot of grinders. Some of the other features of the G-73 are: Stainless Steel wrapped body for easy cleaning and appealing looks; Large convenient buttons for easy operation; A large capacity meat tray; a full set of accessories including a Stainless Steel cutting blade, 3 progressively sized Stainless Steel cutting plates; a set of kubbe attachments (which I haven't used), and a large plastic food pusher. All quality made for years of use. The unit attachments are all easily removable and dishwasher safe. However, I choose to hand wash everything myself as I have read from others in my research that dishwashing, (especially of the cutting blade and plates), is not recommend. So if you are looking for a powerful, yet low-noise producing quality meat grinder that is of large capacity and easily cleanable, then I recommend you buy what I bought in the Sunmile Model G-73 Meat Grinder. I hope this helps.

Impressed
I was totally intimidated by the chore of meat grinding, but actually it turned out to be an enjoyable experience! This thing gave me no problems whatsoever. I started with slightly frozen meat and more of a frozen state for the fat cut into chunks that fit down the tube with no problem. I only had to reverse once in the two days I’ve used it.I was worried about where some of the reviews said some of the parts aren’t made well but I disagree. The only downside was the screw on piece that holds the blades in seems harder to get off than the pressure I used to put it on.Just remember no harsh chemicals when washing.
