Mythrojan Medieval Viking Axe battle ready axehead Reenactment Renaissance Costume

This is a cheap metal costume battle ax. Nothing more. The description says, "battle ready". That's totally false information! That's false information just to try to sell it. I was disappointed in the false information on their web page when I was expecting a halfway decent battle ax. The blade comes very dull. It's so dull it would not even cut my skin. It's also way too heavy. It does not even come with a handle, just the blade. If you want a good quality metal battel ax, then don't get this one. If you want a cheap metal "costume" quality battle ax, than this is the one to get. I wanted a real, good quality battle ax and this was not it, so I returned mine.

The blade is cracked just received unwrapped and the very tip of the blade about an inch back has a hairline crack I added photos of it above I don't want to say poor craftsmanship but that should have been caught in the forging process you can run your fingernail across it and it catches it's bad

Decent quality for the price. I only found one small void, but it's not in a detrimental spot and runs very shallow. I was able to put a decent edge on it for chopping and it seems like it is hardened relatively well.Overall, I like the design and weight.

Solid and almost heavy for it’s size.Seems to be the perfect basis for an art project.Bought this for that reason. When I finish it I’ll post an image.

Its ok, seems a bit small but the size of it is clearly stated in the product description. It was ground out and shaped, so keep that in mind. It was a little sharp on the edges. Mine had a small crack where the shaft would go in but its decorative anyway. You would try stage combat with one of these. Since all the faires have been cancelled due to covid I haven't added a handle or anything. Once I locate it I'll get it ready for next year hopefully

I noticed a large split in the axe in the hole but due to the price i aint gonna complain too much. The axe comes dull but some time and a sharpening stone and youll can get a great blade on it.

Didn't really have any expectation as to what I was going to get. I just couldn't make them myself for the price. I was a little surprise to see that the weld between the blade and the eye was not fully ground smooth. You can still see a few pits from the weld. Like I said it is fine for my use.

Heat ax head beautiful and bigger then expected but it is not hardened steel it didn't pass the file test

Where to begin.... the only thing accurate in the ad is the image.The blade is neither properly hardened nor is it tempered as I tested it on arrival which leads me to question if it is a proper high carbon steel which I will test for later.So it is NOT battle ready as advertised and not being hardened or tempered sharpening it is a waste of time as it will not hold it's edgeIf you want a wall hanger or a piece for cosplay etc then buy it, if you want it functional I hope you have a forge and other equipment to finish it properly

This is a very roughly made product, or at least the one I got was. The finish is uneven as though it was just spot sanded. There are gaps I the welds, yes this is welded. The bevel is uneven. It comes blunt, nothing against that though. Though the bevel itself is uneven, not aligned. Over all this product is not as shared in the ads, it's not as finely finished.Still for the price point it is is to be expected.

Looks awesome! Had no edge on it but easy to sharpen. After I sharpened it, and started polishing it, I noticed a crack/fracture across the blade. Now I can't return it. I don't dare trying to chop anything with it.

I like the design, size and weight. I do wood carving projects and am making unique handles for these axe heads.
