Awesome paper. It absorbs well and allows great blending. I love that I can get 12x16 blocks and reasonably priced compared to Arches.

I have not produced a large painting on this block yet. However, being experienced with water color paper I can see the block is quality made, is heavy paper comparable to Arches. So far, the beginning of my first painting on it shows promise in the texture of the paper and its absorbency Lifting color is easily done as well. I can't speak for curl or warp as I have not covered the page with water yet, nor have I removed it from the block. I have used other blocks and even though glued on all side, still find warping or curling. Arches is one of the papers that does not do this but it too is priced similarly with this brand. My experience in water color paper is that you get what you pay for, find a bargain when you can on the price of this paper. Less expensive papers are better used for small projects and crafting..

Great quality paper, on par with Archies

Black glue clumps up and ends up in my work. I can tape a border around it, but the black stuff will remain on the paper. I think I will buy individual sheets next time.

Item was advertised as a sampler pack of 140lb, 300lb, and 200lb cold pressed watercolor paper. I recieved a slightly water damaged block of 140lb watercolor paper. Don't buy it.
