I ordered a small, I’m 5’5” and weigh 150. It fits me and my baby just fine. It does feel a little snug but it should get better as I expect to lose this weight pretty quick. It’s very convenient and easy to use. I’ve had wraps that I have to tie myself and it’s just so complicated. Having 3 kids now I needed something that was much easier to use. This checks all my boxes. I’d go up a size from the size you think you need unless you know you’re going to lose a lot of weight. It’s the only reason I didn’t get a medium.The material is soft and just breathable enough, and it feels very well made and secure. I got the eggplant color and it’s really cute. I like how it’s just stretchy enough to let me use it easily and the material isn’t too thick. I’d try the mesh one in the future.

I love this carrier for the following reasons:1) AWESOME for breastfeeding in public - and this is coming from a first-time mom with a 9wk old. Breastfeeding is HARD - and this makes it easier. That alone makes it worth the investment. I wear this out like an infinity scarf, and when kiddo gets hungry, I slip the loops on (just follow instructions in package) and pop her in. The K'tan supports her weight so my arms don't get tired and my back doesn't hurt... and I can have a free hand if needed - and can even nurse standing up/ walking around!!! I wore it the other day while feeding in public at a sandwich shop and at least 3 guys walked by me and were clearly oblivious to the fact I was nursing. Worn with my favorite nursing top by a company called LaClef (https://www.amazon.com/LaClef-Doubled-Maternity-Breastfeeding-Charcoal/dp/B01IYMU2M6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1478883341&sr=8-4&keywords=laclef), you can do stealthy feeding anywhere. I bought a 2nd k'tan in a different color for this exact purpose.2) It's far easier to put on than a Moby, but with essentially the same functionality. To be clear, Moby is also great for babywearing - and Moby has the added bonus of being adjustable which K'Tan is not - but it's not realistic to put on a Moby when you're away from home/ anywhere with a dirty floor, while the K'tan is truly a "go-anywhere" product.Now, there are some "cons". First, sizing is tough. The size calculator had me in a size Med. I'm 5'7" and weigh 165 right now (~155 pre-baby), with 36DDD (36C pre-baby). I put on the medium and it felt huge, especially when my daughter was only 5 wks (~8lbs) - so I exchanged it for a small, which felt much better. Fast forward 4 weeks, she's now 10lbs and the size small feels REALLY tight now, like it might be squeezing her uncomfortably when I baby-wear. BUT the small is fine for nursing (maybe even better than a Med), so I use it for that, and in a pinch for babywearing - but I did go back to buy a second wrap in size medium (again). I used the excuse that I wanted a different color. :) Lots of reviewers talked about the material stretching out, but I haven't noticed that at all with my size small. I guess the moral of the story is to follow the sizing calculator on the Baby K'Tan website - or plan to buy 2 (size a small down for newbs <10lbs, then use the recommended size for over 10lbs). :) But overall, the fact that there isn't a way to adjust it - that's a bummer.Second "con" is that there are Tags. All. Over. There's a GIANT white satin tag with "WARNING: SUFFOCATION HAZARD" in bright red ink and "how to use" instrutions/ pictures in blue and red ink tag sewn into one of the loops. Plus a Baby K'Tan tag on the other loop. PLUS a Baby K'Tan tag on the piece of material in the back that holds the 2 loops together, as well another larger white satin tag that's sewn in with washing instructions, and a 3rd "hanging" tag that has washing instructions in other languages. AND another Baby K'Tan tag on the "seatbelt" wrap. JEEZ! Like I said, I wear the carrier as an infinity scarf (one less thing to stuff into my diaper bag, plus I never have to worry about not having it if I'm already wearing it)... but I've had several occasions where I look down at my "chic infinity scarf" and see "WARNING: SUFFOCATION HAZARD" in bright red lettering on a white satin tag instead. Not so stealthy. Yes, I could probably grab a seam-ripper and spend an hour carefully cutting the tags (mostly) out. In all my free time. As a working-full-time-mom-of-a-9-wk-old. Riiiight. Minor complaint, but a complaint none-the-less.Overall, if you're considering baby-wearing and/ or need a confidence booster/ tool for nursing in public, buy this wrap. I bought both of mine as "open box" deals on amazon and saved a couple bucks. One had been previously opened/ tried on but still had all the tags. The second was completely brand new/ never opened, but the outer cardboard box was totally squished. Just wash before you wear (I'd do that regardless) and it's fine.Good luck, mamas! This is an almost perfect baby carrier. I have several slings and a baby B'jorn carrier as well and this one is hands down my favorite. First off, I am 5'9" and I weighed 180 pounds after I had my third baby. I went ahead and bought a size medium and that seemed to fit me fairly well. I have lost 15 pounds since then and have noticed the carrier fitting a bit looser but my son has obviously gotten bigger (six months old now and weighing almost 18 pounds!) and so it isn't too bad.Pros:1. This thing is very portable and fits easily into a diaper bag. It isn't as small as a cloth sling is but makes into a fairly small bundle, compared to a baby B'jorn and a Moby carrier. I have it in my diaper bag at all times.2. It is super easy to use. I don't have any problems getting my child into this carrier. I use 3 positions a lot but have tried all of them and they are all easy to do.3. It makes my life a lot easier when I do things with my son by myself. I have to do all my grocery shopping by myself with my son. To keep room in the cart, I have just starting throwing him in this carrier every time I go shopping. He usually either just looks around quietly or falls asleep. No fussy baby and mommy is much happier and has both hands open.4. My son loves this carrier and is always much happier being worn. I am a crazy women and went to Disneyland when my son was 3 months old with my extended family. I used this carrier so so much and my son was super happy the whole time. I mean we went during Christmas - the busiest time of the year for Disneyland and he did fantastic. I also like that I could just wear this sling even when he wasn't in it and easily slip him in if needed. It also helped keep him toasty and warm during the chilly nights.Cons1. This carrier hurts my back after I use it for longer than 30-60 minutes. Yes it is adjustable but really it kills my back with extended use. I haven't been able to use my other two carriers for very long so I can't tell you if it is worse or better than most carriers. I just think that anytime you are carrying 15+ pounds around you are going to be sore.2. It is not the most cute/attractive carrier. Compared to the cool fabrics that are offered with sling carriers and Moby this one is quiet boring and black. It has also faded quiet a bit after multiple washes (what can I say, I use the heck out of this thing).All in all I am happy with this purchase. I use it a lot and feel I have already gotten my money's worth and more out of this product.Edit 7/23/13 - My kiddo weights over 22 pounds now and is basically a walking toddler at 11 months old. I really don't use this one much anymore, he is way to busy and squirms while it in. When we do use it, it is only in the side holding position, he doesn't tolerate any other way of being held in it. I am kind of bummed he won't have anything to do with it anymore.

Takes a little getting used to to get on but very nice, clear instructions. My baby loves it at 4 months and has done since she was a newborn. She always sleeps really well in it. Small fits me ok but my partner can’t wear it as too tight for him.
